“There you are,” Alpha Windmere hissed impatiently as Lyria hurried into the theatre. “Where is Daphne?”
“Didn’t see her,” Lyria lied breezily. “Maybe we just missed each other.”
“Did you learn the steps to the dance? I sent instructors to your quarters,” he said, barely listening to her.
“No, I’m not doing a dance,” she said, once more starting to walk, this time toward the stage where Alpha Windmere couldn’t follow.
“What?” he demanded angrily, “what do you mean? Of course you are, whatever else were the instructors for?”
“Oh, they helped a friend of mine out tremendously, thanks for that,” Lyria said, gently pushing through a small crowd in the middle of the aisle. Alpha Windmere huffed along behind her, not so gentle as he made his way through the crowd.
