As dawn rose, the moon hung low in the sky, even as the sun’s first rays began to spread across the grounds. “Goddess Sunrise,” Ravelina said as the girls hurried out of the castle. “A good omen,” she added. And it was, indeed, a rare and beautiful thing that was considered to be a sign of the Goddess’s favor.  “She delays the moon to watch over us, to catch a glimpse of us in the light of day,” Lyria said, looking up. “I can only hope she is proud.” Her companions looked up with her, except Haribelle, who stared straight ahead at the looming stables. Her eyes searched the horizon frantically, looking for any sign of trouble. “I don’t feel great about this,” she said. “You did mention that,” Aertis said with a little laugh, trying to lighten the wolf’s mood. “It’s okay. I promise.”  “
