Freyja I checked on Joshua as early as I could since I hadn't slept at all last night. I had to leave our bedroom because I didn’t want to wake Gwen up with my tossing and turning. I watched as the sun lightened up the sky before heading down to the medical wing. “Freyja?” Dr. Green said when I came through the doors. “Is everything okay?” “I couldn’t sleep,” I said. “I wanted to check on Joshua.” “He’s stable,” he said, but the look on his face concerned me. “But?” I asked. “But I have no idea how to treat him,” he sighed. “Can I see him?” I asked. “I was just about to make my rounds,” he said. “He is my first stop. You can join me.” “Thank you,” I said and followed him down the hall. We walked to the last room down the hall where the more severe patients were taken care of.
