2. Brave

Head maid Maya was standing and watching her with concern. She was an old lady who took care of her since childhood along with Andrew.
She is the only one, who can call Andrea by her name. It was compulsary for others to call her ma'am. Andrew has made it a strict rule in the house.
Andrea replied with smile -
" I was thinking about something Maya, College related stuff you know. "
Maya nodded and turned to leave. But she stopped on hearing Andrea's question.
" Maya, has he taken his breakfast ? "
Maya nodded with a smile.
" Where is he ? " Andrea asked
" As usual, in his study. He will leave after you. " Maya replied turning towards kitchen.
Andrea didn't ask further questions knowing well Maya has to give Andrew coffee at exact time daily.
She thought - ' I don't understand why people are so afraid of him. I have never seen him scolding someone. It's just that she never saw someone again after doing any mistake. They were fired. it may be fear of loosing job or his angry glares. what would it be ? '
She was not sure for them but was sure for herself. She is afraid of his angry glares, as first option is not there.
But today she would be brave and ask questions which must be answered by him at any cost.
After having breakfast, she went to his study and stood outside the door. She was so nervous as she stretched her hand to knock on the door her hands started trembling. She still anyhow knocked lightly.
But her knock was heard.
" Come in "
she heard a deep voice. She started panicking immediately.
What if he gets angry on my questions as these are not related to my studies or any thing of importance. I am questioning his place as my gaurdian. I think I would be brave some other day this is not right time. I am brave enough already there is no need to act.
She laughed nervously to make herself feel better and ran away. She went to her college.
As she entered the college she noticed her friends, Lia and Nina coming towards her. Their faces were beaming with excitement.
" Andrea college is organising a function. Every one is participating. We have given our names in drama. You can give yours in singing. Let's go. There are limited seats. " -
Lia exclaimed with excitement.
" Wow ! Let's go. " -
Andrea was happy hearing this. She went to the participation counter.
Girl present there handed her a paper saying
" First read the conditions then you can apply. "
She read the conditions. All the conditions were not any hard things to do.
But as she read last condition her smile faded. Disappointed was evident on her face.
