I quickly hung up with bright red cheeks on my pale face.
Last night Blake and I watched Netflix for the majority of the night. I was on the bed and he was on my couch. I guess we both ended up falling asleep because when I woke up, Blake was still on my couch and my t.v. was still on playing another episode of Spartacus.
While I was on the phone with Gracie, Blake was waking up. While he was stretching, he was also grunting and opening his eyes, his brown eyes staring me right in my blue ones. So I quickly hung up after rushing off the phone which resulted in a chuckle from Blake.
"No need to rush her off the phone." He said.
Whoa, his morning voice is just...perfect.
"Why not, so she could think we're having s*x?"
He chuckled, grabbing his phone.
"She might would wanna hear that if it actually happened."
He shot me a wink before unlocking his phone with his thumb while I rolled my eyes, even though my cheeks were getting warmer.
"Shut up."
I got out of the bed and headed into my bathroom, closing and locking the door just in case. I walked out with freshly brushed teeth, washed face and clean hands.
"My sisters coming back soon, you might want to leave."
He ran a hand through his hair while standing up, shoving his phone in the pocket of his sweatpants.
"Nah, I think I'll stay a bit longer."
My eyes were wide as he went into my bathroom.
I feel like he's trying to get me strangled. Grayson will kill me if I lose my virginity at the age of sixteen. Sure, it's less than a week before my seventeenth birthday but he will still kill me.
It's not like he would know but he will be suspicious if he sees Blake and I coming downstairs together.
And Gracie...Oh God. I really have no idea what she would do. I just know that she'll be mad if I ever lost it to Blake Millers, the bad boy of the school and maybe even the town.
She might actually kill me for that.
He came out of the bathroom, slipped his feet back into his Air Jordan's and grabbed his keys and hoodie from the floor.
"Hurry up. Can you go any slower?" I asked, impatiently.
"I don't know but we can find out." He smirked and that's when I noticed the double meaning.
"Oh my God." I muttered.
I went behind him and shoved him towards the door, causing him him to chuckle. We went out my room and I continued to shove him down the steps.
"Hurry up before she gets here!" I all but shouted, hoping Grayson is in his room and still asleep.
We got to the bottom of the stairs and I stopped all movements when I saw Grayson on one couch, Ace on the other and Jonah on the floor awake and looking at the hall that led to the steps which had Blake and I at the bottom of it.
Once Grayson saw who I was with, his jaw clenched.
"Crap" I muttered.
"What th-" Grayson was cut off by the alarm saying the front door opened.
I heard Gracie.
"Ella Grace! My dear sister, WHERE ARE YOU!?"
She rounded the corner with Kenzie and her jaw dropped.
"It's not what it looks like!" I quickly nearly screamed.
Gracie dropped her bags and put her hands on her hips.
"Oh yeah? Because to me, it looks like you just came down the steps with Blake Millers." She made sure to put the emphasis on his name.
"Okay yeah but-" I was cut off by Jonah.
"Blake's hair is messy. Is that from you pulling it?" He asked, amusement clear in his voice.
Blake turned and face me, walking backwards.
"It was good." He winked at me before walking off and soon out of the door.
He was talking about the pizza! When it got here last night, he couldn't shut up about how good the pizza was and how long it's been since he last had pizza.
Everyone had their eyes on me, waiting for an explanation.
"Explain, now." Grayson said.
"Okay. Last night Blake and I were outside talking. I asked him something and he snapped at me. So I went inside and up to my room. He came and apologized. I ordered us pizza and he paid. We went upstairs and watched Netflix." I said.
"Mhm and did you chill as well?" Gracie asked.
"I have no idea what that is." I looked around at the five people who had their eyes on me and became a bit uneasy from Jonah's look.
"Did you have s*x?" Kenzie elaborated for me.
"No. No I swear we didn't." I said.
"So why did he say it was good?" Grayson asked.
"His stupid self was talking about the pizza. He couldn't shut up about it." I said.
"Mhm. I believe you." Gracie said, eyeing me.
"Where'd he sleep?" Grayson asked.
"The couch." I said, looking into his blue eyes so he'd know I wasn't lying and try to kill me or Blake.
"Alright."
"Girl, you didn't sleep with Blake? I would've! I would-" She looked at Gracie and changed her entire sentence. "I would've had my legs closed and sat like a nun of course."
I laughed along with Ace.
"Come on girls."
Gracie pulled me up the steps and into her pink bedroom. I sat at her vanity while Kenzie and her sat on the bed.
"So what did you need to explain?"
"No. Why didn't you tell me that Aria and Hailee were the ones that beat you up?" Gracie asked, sounding hurt.
"I was scared." I said, looking down at my hands.
"Of what?"
I shrugged, not saying anything.
"Hey, look at me."
I looked up at her.
"You don't ever have to be afraid to tell me anything. I'm your big sister. Any problem you have, you can tell me and I'll try to fix it." She said softly with a gently smile.
I nodded, smiling back at her.
"So what's happening because I'm lost." Kenzie said.
"Hailee and Aria beat up my little sister. Hailee is mad because Blake doesn't dislike Ella, like her. Aria has been purposefully stealing Marianne away from you and the blonde girl. Apparently, I'm the best of the squad and I'm not captain because her father is the principal and it wouldn't look right if she isn't captain." Gracie said, mispronouncing Mariana's name, just like Blake did. I decided to just ignore it since I don't know if we're still friends or not.
"What the hell? That's seriously messed up. So how did you find out?" Kenzie asked.
"I was going down to the kitchen for breakfast and over heard it." Gracie said, crossing her arms.
"You're not going to do anything though, right?" I asked, hope clear in my voice.
"Of course I am going to do something." Gracie said with a eyebrow raised.
"No, you can't. Please don't Gracie. They'll beat me up more." I said, nearly crying.
"No they won't. If they want to keep me on the squad, then they aren't going to lay a finger on you again." Gracie said.
"Not to be rude of course, Gracie, but what does keeping you on the squad even mean." Kenzie asked.
"According to them, without me we wouldn't have competition, no regionals, no nationals, no nothing and you would have bad pep rallies."Gracie said.
"So what, basically the rest of us are dead weight?" Kenzie asked, getting mad.
"No. Not to me. We're a squad. There's no spotlight on me." Gracie said, trying to make Kenzie feel better.
"In my opinion, I think your toe touches are way better than Gracie's." I said, shrugging.
Kenzie looked at me, a smile slowly forming.
"Really?"
"Yep." I replied.
++
"So what's your plan?" I asked Gracie.
"Oh you'll see." Gracie said, a creepy smirk on her face.
