Yesterday we ate dinner at the table, like normal siblings.
Yesterday we had a normal conversation, like normal siblings.
Yesterday we laughed together, like normal siblings.
It was weird, but fun?
I still don't think I'm ready to forgive them it. That's going to take a long while for that to happen and I'm glad that they understand that.
I set my phone down after checking the time and going through my social media. I got out of bed and exited my room wearing my fluffy slippers and stretching my limbs. I made it to the kitchen and grabbed the Fruit Loops with a bowl, spoon and the gallon of milk.
I was still half asleep, which is why when the shirtless, bed haired guy came downstairs and began to rummage through our pantry, I didn't think anything of it, until I noticed he wasn't my brother.
I screamed, not knowing that there was a guy in the house. The guy screamed too and spun around. I quickly grabbed my keys and pepper sprayed his eyes, causing him to scream again. My brother and sister came running around the corner with my sister being half dressed.
None of this was registering in my head, the only thing that went around my brain was there's a half-naked man in my kitchen floor with pepper spray in his eyes.
"What happened!?" Grayson screamed.
"Who is he!?" I screamed back.
Gracie quickly went over to the guys side and looked at me, I was expecting a glare, or a series of curse words, but neither of those came my way.
"Ella, what did you put in his eyes!?" Gracie screamed.
"Pepper Spray!" I screamed while looking at the guy on my kitchen floor.
I dropped my keys and quickly grabbed a bowl and filled it up with water. I went over to the stranger and looked at Gracie.
"Force his eyes to stay open." I glanced at him.
She held his eyes open with her fingers and I slowly poured the cool water into his eyes, washing out the pepper spray.
"Okay, you can let go." I said softly.
I grabbed a towel from the hall closet and gently dabbed at his red, puffy eyes.
"I'm sorry, I'm so sorry." I said to the half-naked guy.
He moved the rag from his eyes and began blinking rapidly.
His eyes looked terrible. They were so red.
"Who in the hell pepper sprays anyone." The guy asked in an angry voice.
"In my defense, you are in my house and I have no idea who you are." I spit back.
"Your house? I thought only the twins lived here." He said in a confused tone.
"Yeah well, think again." I said.
I looked at Gracie.
"Uh, Bradley, this my sister, Ella. Ella, this is Bradley, my...friend." Gracie said softly while biting her lip.
He chuckled.
"What's funny." Grayson spit at the blonde head.
Grayson was getting angry and I don't know why, but I held a hand out just in case.
"Nothing man, it's just...she has the name of the most unpopular nerd at our school. You know, that fat b***h who-" He began but didn't get to finish his sentence because Gracie had smacked him.
"Don't you ever speak about my sister like that again." Gracie said through gritted teeth.
"Sister?" He held his cheek while looking at Gracie and me.
He went silent and I'm guessing he's connected the pieces because his jaw dropped.
"You're the nerd!" He shouted while in shock.
Grayson pushed past me and grabbed the boy up by his throat and slammed him into the wall.
"If you ever call our sister a nerd again, I promise you, I will end you. Got that." Grayson spoke in a low voice that I nearly missed.
The boy frantically nodded.
"Okay."
Grayson threw him into the doorway of the kitchen.
"Get the hell out of our house. Don't get your s**t, just go before I f**k you up." Grayson threatened.
Bradley quickly got up, while slipping and sliding, and ran out of sight. Not even two seconds later, we heard the front door slam close.
"Ella, you okay?" Gracie spoke softly to me.
I nodded.
"Yeah I'm fine. Thanks for sticking up for me." I smiled at the both of them.
"Ah, that's what older siblings are supposed to do." Grayson said with a smirk as he helped Gracie and I up from the floor.
I bit back a grin and headed back to my soggy cereal, stirring it around in the bowl.
"What's wrong?" Gracie asked.
They came and sat across from me at the island.
"I just can't believe you guys stood up for me." I said, still a bit in shock.
"We're your older siblings, that's what we're supposed to do." Grayson said.
"Yeah and we're going to earn your forgiveness, no matter what it takes." Gracie said with a shrug.
I nodded and looked up at them.
"Well, that was a perfect start guys.
They grinned and high-fived.
"So, what're you two doing today?" I asked.
"I'm going shopping with Ashley and Kenzie." Gracie said.
They looked at me.
"Oh uh, I have no idea. Probably go school shopping with Mariana." I said
"Mariana?" Grayson asked.
"Yep, she's my best friend." I smiled.
"Awe, I'm glad you have a friend." Gracie said.
I smiled.
"Me too, but what about you Grayson, what're you doing today? I asked him.
"Oh, a quick practice then Ciara and Tiara wants Ace and I go to school shopping with them." Grayson replied with a shrug.
Ciara and Tiara were part of the "Mean Girl" clique. They were twins, preppy cheerleaders, ruthless, had the most popular boyfriends, Barbie like and bullies. Yes, they also bullied me.
"Oh okay, well have fun guys. When're you leaving?" I asked.
"Kenzie is picking me up around one." Gracie said.
"Practice ends at one, so probably around two." Grayson said.
"Okay well, if we do go, I should be back before you guys, but then again, I don't know. Mariana can shop for days, kind of like Gracie." I said.
She went red in the face from embarrassment.
"Hey, shopping is very addicting. Especially when you're loaded, like us." Gracie said with a smile.
I playfully rolled my eyes at my sister.
"Oh, time to get ready for practice." Grayson said.
He hopped off his stool and headed out of the kitchen, leaving Gracie and me.
"I know you probably don't want to but do you want to join Ashley, Kenzie and I today with Mariana?" She asked.
"No thanks. I think I've been tormented enough by them." I said.
"I get it, well I should go and call them." She said with a sympathetic smile.
"Okay."
She exited the kitchen leaving just me. I threw away my soggy cereal and put everything up.
I closed my room door and grabbed my phone, seeing the face time from Mariana. I quickly answered it. She must've had her phone propped up because she wasn't holding it. She was still laying down in her bed.
"Hey."
"Don't hey me. What the hell happened to you calling me? You're so lucky I didn't go over there."
I laughed at her and sat on my own bed.
"I'm sorry, Ana but everything's okay. They were shocked as hell to see me."
She laughed.
"Good, they should be. Did you need to pepper spray?"
"Not last night, but this morning yes."
She raised a perfectly arched eyebrow.
"We all know how I am in the morning; not awake. So, I was in the kitchen getting some cereal when this shirtless guy just walked in and began digging through our pantry. At first, I didn't think anything about it, until I noticed he wasn't Grayson."
Mariana was laughing like crazy.
"So I screamed and he did too while turning around, that's when I pepper sprayed him."
I laughed as she rolled off of her bed from laughing.
"Okay, it wasn't that funny."
She popped up out of nowhere.
"For who!?"
I laughed as she jumped back on her bed.
"It was crazy. He recognized me as the nerd and said some insulting stuff to me, but you know what surprised me?"
"Hm?"
"My brother and sister stuck up for me. Gracie smacked him and Grayson threatened to beat him up, then threw him out of the house."
"Awe, that's the least they can do after the s**t they put you through."
"Yeah true. They are determined to get my forgiveness."
"Well, are you willing to forgive them?"
"I don't know Ana, I really don't.
She understood that I didn't want to talk about it anymore, so she changed the subject.
"So, when are we going school shopping?"
"Well, are you free today?"
"Yep. Pick me up at one-thirty?"
"Yep. I'll see you then."
"Okay, see ya."
"See you."
