The Commitment

POV Nadia … What is happening? Why am I just relaxed right now? Where did my nerves go? I don't understand. But I'm gonna go with it. Breathe. The ceremony was a blur. I honestly barely remember anything the officiate said. I couldn't stop looking into Ryan's eyes. He never looked away from me either. It was as if we were in love at first sight which is such bullshit! Let's be honest, he's f*****g gorgeous and I'm swooning! AND the vibes he's giving me says he digs me too. When we were pronounced husband and wife I bit my bottom lip and he smirked again. Such swoonage happening! He moved closer to me, put his finger lightly under my chin and pressed his lips to mine. Slowly we kissed and kissed again. His breath was minty and he smelled like sweet pine. I pressed my hands to his chest and felt my knees weaken. I've seen countless blind groom's and bride's kiss for the first time at the altar. It was always stiff, awkward and quick. I was unprepared to be so relaxed, so relieved and so f*****g turned on while blindly meeting my husband! I expected to drag my feet down the aisle but here I was nearly running! … POV Ryan … Damn. That's her?! She's beautiful. Like not just sexy- hot- gorgeous, but beautiful. Thank you mom and dad, thank you! Her smile is sweet, even cute. Wavy chestnut hair wrapped with tiny white flowers and lace. She seemed to float alongside her dad while she got closer to me. I couldn't help but laugh silently at her obviously blushing at me. My whole body loosed up and I could feel the blood flow to my hands and feet again. It was like instant relief when we made eye contact. I spent the entire ceremony studying her face. Tiny freckles around her nose, green eyes with full lashes and light pink lips. Some of this was probably enhanced by makeup but it was clear, she was a natural beauty too. Before I could finish memorizing her, the officiate told me I was now allowed to kiss my bride. I swallowed quickly and felt goosebumps rise under my coat and shirt. She sunk her eyes into me and smiled. She was probably a foot shorter than me and I felt the need to tilt her chin up, just a touch to reach perfection. I wanted to sink back into her with this first kiss. This first kiss was gonna mean business. It was gonna change both of our lives. I wanted her to know how excited I was already. How I felt intensity from her aura. How I was proud to stand before my family, her family, especially her father. This kiss was gonna say something. … The crowd erupted in cheers as the officiate announced the new couple. Standing ovations, applause and whistles echoed across the courtyard. There was an incredible sense of satisfaction from everyone. Like the love was being felt in the air. If it could be seen the wind would sparkle and shine. The couple walked down the aisle hand in hand and both smiled ear to ear. They touched family and friends as they passed them and welcomed the congratulations and support. Nadia and Ryan reached the archway that led to the marriage suite. This room was the place couples got to sit together, alone and officially meet. Nadia's mother, Queen Helena said she was more nervous about this meeting than she was at the ceremony. "I remember feeling sick to my stomach as your father and I walked under the archway. I knew then I'd have to actually speak to him. Make conversation on my own! Oh, I can still feel the knots in my belly!" Helena put her hand to her mouth as if she would vomit. "But you said he made you laugh?" Nadia looked at her mother with confusion. "He did. He tripped on the steps leading down up to the door. Slammed his hand right into the handle. His first word were ``Son of a b***h!" We both broke in giggles and that definitely put some ease on us." "So I should trip on the steps and curse at my new husband?" Nadia joked. "Well I'm sure you'll have your own icebreaker story to tell your daughter someday. Let's wait and see what it is." Helena smiled and cupped Nadia's cheek. Nadia realized her face hurt from smiling so much. She let out a chuckle as they approached the steps and squeezed Ryan's hand. He reached for the door knob, turned it and squeezed her hand back. They turned towards each other and met eyes. He pushed the door open and flower petals danced across the floor. They kept eyes on each other as they entered the room. Ryan led the way to the center of the room. Ivy hung down from the ceiling and a crystal chandelier sparkled in the sunshine. He held both of her hands and pulled her closer to him. Their bodies are nearly touching. POV Nadia … Damn, is the room spinning? I feel weightless. Am I swaying? Is this love? No. Can't be. But his eyes are burning into my brain. I don't wanna blink. I can smell his pine cologne again but now I feel his warmth. His hands have moved to my waist, now the small of my back. His touch is so gentle and sweet. We haven't looked away from each other nor said a word. He's closer now, his breathing is heavier. His hand moved to my face. The side of his finger glides down my cheek and to my chin again. I feel my breath catch as he presses his lips to mine. My palms press against his chest and my fingers grip his coat. I can feel his heartbeat. Suddenly he parted his lips and I felt his tongue. My entire body felt like it was beginning to melt. My skin is tightening and my blood is rushing. I gave in… I let my mouth take over and with that my lips vibrated as I couldn't hold in how much I enjoyed this. I slid my hands up to his neck and sucked his bottom lip. Our tongues swirled as each kiss got deeper and deeper. If this is love… I love it. … POV Ryan … Her skin is so soft. Her eyes like emeralds. Her lips, damn I can't believe this. I never expected this. What was this even? I've kissed girls before, I've slept with girls before… but this was new. It was as if this was uncontrollable. I wasn't in charge of my mind, body or soul anymore. Each kiss got better and better. We both started to lose our breath. Was that a moan? Did she just moan? f**k, she did. I instantly became hard and she made it worse as she took my lip into her mouth more. I was nervous to let her know how turned on I was so I pulled my body back a bit but I didn't wanna stop kissing her. Why was kissing her so different? Is this… love? … Nadia and Ryan spent their first many minutes as husband and wife wrapped around each other. Barely letting go to do what they depended on most before they meet...breathe! "I can't stop…" Ryan whispered first. "Me either." Nadia whispered back before pulling him back for more. They finally stopped when a knock interrupted them. Both letting loose their grip but not the closeness said together and against thier mouths…"Yes?" "It's Lizbeth and Kie your Majesty's. May we enter?" It had been nearly an hour after the ceremony and they hadn't realized how fast time went. "Whoa, holy shit." Ryan laughed and smiled at how hypnotized they both had been. "We should uh, probably let them in." "Yes, of course" Nadia smiled back and stole one last quick peck. "Yes, you may come in". Lizbeth came into the room full of joy and rushed to Nadia with arms open for a hug. Kie quickly made his way to Ryan with a firm handshake that ended in a hug as well. Short and quiet congratulations were shared between Keeper and Duty. Inside looks were exchanged with Nadia and Lizbeth as if to say "You were right Liz, he's gorgeous!" and she winked back. "We apologise for the intrusion your Majesty's but it's time for photos with the family then off to your photo session as well. The guests have filled the gally for cocktails." Lizbeth spoke softly and through an unbreakable smile. She guided Nadia over to a vanity and opened a back door. The hair, makeup and wardrobe team came rushing back in to touch up their work of art. Nadia looked back at Ryan who smiled and gestured for her to go. He walked back to a bar with Kie who was already busy making his duty a drink. They hustled to make the new couple picture perfect and left the suite before they could say anything word. Or steal another kiss. William and Helena along with Kenneth were waiting in the garden. Quick hugs, kisses, handshakes and congratulations were exchanged. The photographer was prompt on getting everyone in place. Nadia and Ryan were back close together and they immediately pressed their bodies close. Ryan placed his hand on her back and slowly slid it down to her waist, then around to her hip. A playful squeeze and she felt her cheeks flush. A camera flash meant that was caught on film and she looked forward to that photo the most. Siblings, Aunt's, Uncle's, cousins and grandparents joined for more photos. A few other noble and royal families as well. Soon it was just Ryan and Nadia again. Alone. With the photographers of course. They were led to a different garden for the couple photos. It was secluded and quiet..the sun had started to set and the sky was shades of lavender and magenta. The first few photos were basic and traditional for the public; look at the camera and smile. The next set were for family and friends. Cutesy poses, innocent kisses, playful and staged. Finally the photographer said to relax and enjoy each other. They wasted no time in doing just that. They immediately kissed longer and deeper, like they had before. They rarely looked at the camera. Only each other, parts of their body or off to the sky. "Your Majesty's? Ahem, excuse me your Majesty's? I am finished with the photos now." The photographer tried to get their attention between kisses. "Oh, yes, yes. Thank you Sir!" Ryan heard him first and broke the intensity with Nadia. "We appreciate your service and look forward to seeing the photos." He placed his hand out for a shake. "If I may say, your Majesty's… I've been a photographer for 20 years. I've shot all types of weddings. This is the first time for a blind wedding that the couple seem to have an immediate connection. If I didn't know better, I'd have thought you'd met before today." "Thank you Sir, and I must agree. It does feel as if the princess and I have known each other for years." Ryan held Nadia's hand and gave it a gentle squeeze. "Many blessings to you both" the photographer left the garden and they were alone once again. Alone, alone. No one in sight. As if their minds were linked they kissed again. Slowly and softly. A quiet moan escaped Nadia's lips. "My sweet, beautiful bride. You've enchanted me. There isn't by chance any witch blood in your body? I feel a cast upon me." Ryan spoke against her mouth, eyes closed. "Dear husband, I was about to ask the same of you? Except those low growls between kisses seem to be animal-like. Perhaps you're hiding a wolf under your skin?" Nadia looked deep into his eyes. A royal witch and a werewolf marriage would surely make for a controversy in the kingdom.
