TEGAN'S P.O.V
Most of the guests didn't know what to do. They had been lied to, but they weren't sure if it was purely accidental or not. Uriah was a well known ruler, whereas I was still considered fresh meat. Would the people side with him or with me?
"This doesn't have to be a war. You can walk away now." I said, trying to reason with him, as I said I would do.
"The Kingdom is MINE!" He roared with a growl that ripped through the ballroom.
"The kingdom is my son's! It was never yours!"
"It should've always been mine. I was promised this! I followed every direction, from the sacrifice, to the dying. The throne belongs to me!"
