He didn't take the news as badly as I did. Although I can't say he took it well either. He was only two years old when our mother supposedly died. I'm not entirely sure how he even remembered any of the funeral or burial being so young but he insists that he did. I feel like I took it so hard not only because of the betrayal of Helena but also for the realization that I could have had a completely different life. I could have been included in the family and possibly even treated like a human rather than how my father chose to treat me. Now all I can do is wonder if my mother ever expected her mate to turn on me the way he did.
