Once everyone was calm, my mother asked Zola more questions. However, she couldn't recall every detail so she asked if she could retrieve Kiren. I wasn't thrilled by the idea of him being here, but apparently it was necessary.
"You may go get him. Both of you come right back. This needs to be discussed promptly." My mother said, dismissing Zola.
I wanted to b***h and protest about Kiren being a necessary factor in our family affairs, but I didn't. Not because of me being the mature one, but because I could tell by the look on my mother's face that it was big. Which meant, whatever Zola was talking about, had an impact on my Mother.
