By the time everyone swam in for lunch, more than half of them caught good waves. Meghan was the first of my group to get one, which didn’t surprise me in the least. She picked it up quickly and took it upon herself to help the others.
Kiki ordered us lunch to be delivered so everything was ready when we got to the house. The guys Ginny was with took their sandwiches onto the beach to eat and check out the scenery. The couples stayed close to the house. Ginny and I hung out with them.
“So, you’re single, Ginny?” Meghan asked.
Ginny nodded. “Happily.”
“I can’t imagine not having Tom around,” Amber said. “You don’t want a guy?”
Ginny laughed mirthlessly. “Of course I do, but it’s not that easy.”
