CHAPTER 4: THEY CAN READ HER MIND

''I told Headmaster Em about her and what we saw earlier, I think she's gonna be staying here for a while we wait for headmaster's orders'' -I heard a female voice said

''yes but how will we explain everything to her?'' - another female voice spoke

''I don't know yet but we already talked to her mother, the only problem now is how do we tell her about us knowing that she is not easy to convince as what we've witness in the human world'' -she answered

I frowned the moment I heard their conversation. Who are they? Who is that Headmaster? They talked to mom? And most of all, what do they mean human world? Where exactly am i?

I sat on my bed and looked at them. They were surprised. I think they won't harm me though. According to my hearing, they are the two girls i met back then as i remembered their voices

''uhm- how long have you been listening?'' -ask the girl with the long blonde hair

''long enough'' -I answered not breaking my stare and waited for them to explain what I have heard earlier. I saw them exchanging glances at each other

''first, let me introduce ourselves, I am Ruia and she is Ydhira'' -she said with a faint smile and the girl beside her gave me a small wave. Good to know their names so I don't need to tell what hair color they have for the readers to understand who I am talking about.

Ruia is the girl with the long blonde hair with bangs and Ydhira is the purple haired girl, I wonder what's her twin's name. I really love twins like imagine you have someone who looks exactly the same as you and if you have someone you want to avoid like an enemy or an ex-boyfriend, you can just disguise yourself and pretend that you're not you and you're your twin. Get it?

Anyways,

''Adaere Cortez'' -I said so that I won't look all rude just them introducing themselves

''so uhm, how do we say this uhmm''- Ruia said giving Ydhira 'can you help me explain everything to her' look.

''why don't we just let headmaster tell you everything, he's more capable on explaining than us'' -Ydhira said

I was about to get off the bed when a group of guys suddenly barged into the door's entrance. There's three of them and the moment I laid my eye on the guy in the middle, my heart suddenly stops it's beat and my eyes sparkles like a child offered a sweet treat. Is he the man in my dreams? I finally found my missing piece and my prince charmi-

''ehem''

I came back to my senses when Ruia coughed. I bowed my head in shame, did I just said those words? But it's fine it's not like they can read my mind.

''we do'' -said the guy who asked for my name earlier then he smirked

My eyes went O.O

I almost burried my head to my neck in shame. All my life I have never been embarrassed like this.

''ehem, so I heard they saw you and brought you here because you have some unusual abilities for such a mere human and that is confirmed the moment you entered this place which can only a person with unique abilities can pass through the protective barrier.'' -said the guy in the middle. The guy who looks so fine and- nevermind.

''I am Headmaster Emirton but you can call me Headmaster Em for short'' -he said and extended his hands in me. I shook it ignoring the stares around me.

''and they are the UC in-short for the Upper Class students, introduce yourselves kids'' -he said taking a step back then eyed the two guys standing behind him.

''hi! The names' Jay and this is Seven'' -he said and pointed the guy who is casually leaning at the door. He gave me a quick glance and I saw how deep his eyes are that even of I'm meters away from him. He's the guy who throws the wallet at me and Jay is the guy who asked for my name.

''Adaere Cortez'' - I said

They stared at the two girls standing beside me

''what? We're done introducing ourselves already, by the way, where's Yveth?'' -said Ydhira. I bet she's talking about her twin

''canteen, as usual'' - jay said as he shrugged

I lifted my head when I remembered what they said that they can read my mind. How is that possible? All I know is that telepathy doesn't exist in the real world and you can only read them in books or fantasy stories not in real life. And what do they mean about unusual abilities? And this protective barrier thingy.

''You are here in a small magic world that is hidden from the human world. People here possesses abilities that is way far a human can imagine. This place is protected by a barrier so that no ordinary human can enter, so in your case, I assume you are not just an ordinary human because you managed to get in and based on what they told me, you have the ability of super strength and speed in fighting. We aren't sure yet about your abilities so in the mean time, you have to stay here.'' - Headmaster Explained

''We already told your parents and we assure them your safety so no need to worry'' -he added after seeing the uncertainty on my face.

I was speechless. Obviously I don't have a say on this. Whatever I'll say they won't let me go back to human world and whether I'll escape on my own, I still can't because of this barrier they are saying. I'm no match for them, they have powers and they can easily toast me or drown me or extract the air in my lungs in any possible way they can. What did I do to be in this situation all I know is that I just helped them with those bad guys and then in just a snap, they bought me here at their world without asking for my permission. This is so unfair where's my human rights? They need to hear my side--

''Ruia will guide you to the dorm you'll be staying and will give you short information about us.'' -headmaster Em said then exited the doorway together with the three of them leaving me and Ruia alone.

My face went ' -_- '

''I don't know where to start, you can ask me anything''-she said while we head out.

''where am i? what is this place? How far is this from earth?'' I asked and she suddenly burst out to a laughter. I looked at her frowning . What's so funny? She said I can ask anything then she'd laugh at me as I do? I'm not in the mood for jokes

''ehem, you are still on earth rest assured. You are in the WSE short for Wondonian School of elites somewhere far from human civilisations and no one can enter in the portal without the permission of the elite elders'' -she said while her face is red from her laughter as she saw me looking at her with serious expression

we just waked. i just followed her in every hallway we turn. i can't even remember where we've been because of this huge building we're in.

''long time ago, there was a kingdom named Wondo, it was peaceful back then not until the evil brother of King Ophidian unleashed his wrath and dethroned the kingdom of Wondo. Time has passed and many Wondonians have gradually collected the offspring of the old survivors whom they inherit their powers. We can track them by activating an orb and there will show individuals who uses their powers outside the WSE and we are the one who are tasked to summon them and bring them here and it turns out that you're one of them'' -she stated and gives me a small smile

So that was an orb the guy snatched from them

We stepped in into a big door and there welcomed me a huge hotel-like room. It has this homie vibe that you instantly want to sleep under the mattress for a whole entire day

''this will be your room for the mean time that you don't belong to any classification yet'' - she said

''classification?'' -I asked frowning my brows

''oh, that's where you will belong soon when we found out what's your abilities'' -she answered

''Me and the others you met earlier, we are the Upper class. We only have five members, Ydhira and Yveth the Fean twins the former have teleportation and the latter has telekinesis, they both are air signs so they can manipulate air, Jay Razon an earth sign and has incredible and intelligent mind and the only son of Razon family, me, Ruia Sanrea water sign and I have the healing ability and lastly Seven Fortejo , fire sign and has mind control ability, his family leads the Elite clan so he is highly respected.'' -she explained

''You meant powers right? your abilities are powers? like elements you can control?'' - i asked. what? is that possible? i thought they were only collecting people who has abilities like rational abilities and such but powers? Powers!? no way

''exactly'' - she said and nodded

''that's it for today, you can rest now because tomorrow you'll be having an orientation for your classification.'' -she said then closed the door

What.the.eff. powers are really true! You can't blame a street fighter girl who acts very amazed just when she knew that real powers exist.

''oh and one more thing! We the Upper Class are able to read minds too so be careful with your thoughts!'' -she added then winked at me before she closed the door.

Hmm that makes sense. That is why I didn't understand what they were talking about when we were at the human world. Turns out they read my mind. That sounds kinda unfair though

I explored the room for a couple of minutes. I am tempted on stealing some of it because it really looks expensive. Glad there already are clothes stocked on the wardrobes and other basic necessities.

Quarter to ten when i decided to wash myself with a warm bath then goes to bed.

I was awakened by a loud knock on my door in the morning.
