Chapter 1 (New life: memory loss)

*Waking up frightened she found herself on a bed, she was now confused, because she had thought a truck had hit her*. In her confused state not knowing there was a maid in her presence; in teary eyes and shock the maid ran out and shouted 😱: SHE'S AWAKE! SHE'S AWAKE! THE DUCHESS IS AWAKE!

She just sitting on the bed wondering what the heck just happened, when suddenly all the servants and the duke rushed in.

The servants: Duchess Leonine! We were all so scared. We thought you'll never wake up again.

(They all say in teary eyes 😭)

*The Duke then shouts for everyone to leave the Duchess's room*

He then turns to his beloved wife in teary eyes who was sitting on the bed confused and says: "My dear wife Duchess Leonine Leo oh I have missed you so, I was so scared to lose you, crying every night still having hope that you'll never leave me alone in this world."

The duchess:*Still not understanding what's going on decided to play along for now saying: Oh my husband I put u through so much....

Trying to know where she was without suspicion says: ....But I am afraid I have lost some of my memory.

In a short awkward silence the Duke shouts: WHAT?!!! REALLY?!!! YOU CAN'T REMEMBER ANYTHING?!

Bu but... you do remember me don't you?

Hesitant at first she then remembered his face as the duke in the novel she had read in her previous life, then says: yes, but I'm afraid i do not remember anyone else. The sighed in relief and said: At least u remember me.

The Duke then hugs her and says she should rest first, that he will deal with the situation later.*the Duke exists the room.*

Anastasia then stands up looking for a mirror.

She then says in shock: So I did really turn into the Duchess Leonine. oh- I wanted to ask him how I got bedridden but well, I can still test swordsmanship after all the the novel states Leonine is good in swordsmanship

meanwhile the Duke calls for his aid named "Lukas" and tells him to get someone to teach his wife ethics and dinning ethics for he will hold a celebration for her recovery and in case of any balls, tea party or any gathering.

In Leonine's resting chambers she gets bored, so she calls out for her maid named Liz. She then asked Liz if she could go out. Liz then said:"By the duke's order you are not to leave your chambers for two to three days". Leonine who knew that she wasn't going to listen to a single thing, told the maid that she wants to go for a walk. The maid told her a firm no and Leonine gave up, only through words. After Liz got dismissed Leonine got up and snuck out through the window and walked through the garden. few minutes later Reinhart the duke arrived at her chambers, on entering he found no one to be there. He then summons the maids and ask them where she could be, but no one knew. The head maid then apologizes for her negligence and proceeded to make a search for her with the knights. Leonine wondering through the garden noticed the uproar, not thinking much she moves on without notice. Until a maid spots her and takes her to the duke. The duke then asked were she was, in reply she says: garden. Leonine asked him if she was the cause of the uproar and he turns with a red face. Leonine then tells him that she won't run away and that even if she ran she won't run in her condition. The duke then asked if she was hurt? which she wasn't and then he tells her that she soon will be learning little ethics due to her memory loss.She then asked for the name of the teacher and he tells her it is a lady from the house of Robin's, he then has a little chat with her before excusing himself for his duties.

Leonine who is now taking her bath thinks of how the class will be and the sequence of the story suddenly in a shock she remembers the role her soon to be teacher plays, in a low voice saying "Latisha Robins" she remembers she is the first villainess to appear in the story and she begins to get excited of the first drama about to occur.She leaves the bathroom and then dresses herself up to rehearse a counter attack, she then meets the Reinhart and tells him to postpone her lessons with the excuse of wanting to spend time with him which makes Reinhart agree with immediate effect she also tells him the spar with her in the future. After she leaves his office Reinhart then calls Lukas with a dark expression and tells him to cancel all work for the week and tells him to postpone the duchess lessons he then asks why do all such things Reinhart raise his head with a flushed expression and twinkled star eyes says I Reinhart and her highness the duchess Leonine will have a week of together. Lukas knowing all the work will be on him and also knowing he has no say in the decision reluctantly agreed with a long sigh. Leonine in her room plans a schedule for the week she then goes to sleep.

She then wakes up to a knock on the door she tell the person to come in and then Liz runs into the room and struggles to get her prepared, Leonine then ask: prepared for what? Liz then said that your highness the duchess have you forgotten your proposal for a date with the duke, Leonine was then in shock and then ask Liz how she knew about that and Liz casually tells her word travels fast. leonine holds her temples and sighs. Liz does her makeup and makes her wear one of the dresses duke loves on her.They go on the date and the Duke shows her places they have been to before but she forgot, but that didn't stop her for enjoying her day. Then Reinhart decides to take her on another date tomorrow, which she gladly agrees to.
