After work, Maria hurried to the meeting place on time. She tried to contact Lucas via the LINE app, but today he still hadn't read her messages. She checked her phone every few seconds, her fingers trembling slightly, but there was still no response. The unread messages felt heavier with every passing minute, sinking like stones in her heart.
Because of an important meeting that dragged on until almost 8 PM, Lucas didn't even think to pick up his phone.
