(Luke POV) I push through the glass doors with Julia, and they thud shut behind us, swallowing the jazz and chatter into this low, fuzzy hum. The night air slams me, cool, crisp, slicing through the sweaty stink of that ballroom. My jacket’s dangling off my arm, and I glance at her next to me, arms locked tight across her chest, dress flapping a little in the breeze.
