Walking through the silent halls of the pack house, I felt Alice’s hand warm in mine. It was the only thing grounding me right now, the only thing keeping my wolf from breaking free in frustration. We were dealing with poison, betrayal, and a weakening pack—and none of it sat right with me.
I glanced down at Alice. She was deep in thought, her green eyes reflecting the dim light. There was always a fierce determination in her, a stubborn fire that I loved and cursed in equal measure. She could be infuriating, but she was my anchor, and the way she handled everything with the grace of a future Luna? Well, it was damn sexy.
I squeezed her hand. “Bunny, we’re in deep. Whoever’s dosing the pack with wolfsbane knows exactly what they’re doing. And it’s not random.”
