Chapter 2Oliver woke up to a quiet that could only be found somewhere that wasn’t his apartment. His rooms in the Short North, just south of campus, were a symphony of groaning pipes, screeching cars, and the belligerent clashing of intoxicated students at all hours of the day and night. Here it was completely silent. He stretched out wide, taking up as much of the bed real-estate as he could, and sighed his contentment. When they had gotten in at close to 4:30 in the morning, David had offered Oliver the shower and an armload of clothes, and Oliver had accepted gratefully.
