Wren's pov For a moment, the room was still, like the stillness of the forest before a predator strikes. The warriors were more wolves than humans at this point and they were standing between I and my only chance of escape. One of the warriors stepped forward, I bared my canines at him and let out a growl. I was like a damsel in distress except there was no knight with shining armor to save me. It also didn't help that my head felt like one big ball of cloud. He took another step forward, his eyes oddly fixated on me.
