My paws hit the ground with a thud as I jumped over the fallen tree. I could hear another thud as he also cleared the jump. He was gaining on me and I was already starting to get exhausted. I could feel the strain in my muscles as I pushed myself to go faster.
Just then a big black wolf with violet eyes ran beside me, I could have sworn he was smirking at me. I growled as I pushed myself further so he could fall behind. I could already see the finish line, victory is ours, girl I smirked to Astrid.
Just then, like a speeding bullet, the black wolf shot past me and ran past the finish line.
