EPILOGUE

FIVE YEARS LATER
EDWARD :
I heard her scream again through the phone. Why do I have to be away in an important meeting when she needs me. Because I'm the King now. I am in a meeting with the prime minister at his house when Zach called me.
"Edward."
"Yes."
"It's time. You need to get to the hospital now."
I didn't get it when he said that but then I heard Cat's scream in the background. I am out of there in a second running to my car. I should behave dignified as I'm the king now but I could care less about those things now.
"Stay with her, Zach. I'm on my way."
"Ok."
The car is moving too damn slow. I can hear everything through the phone. She is shouting at Zach.
"Tell him to be here or I will kill him."
"This is all his fault."
How can it be my fault? But I knew better than that. The doctor warned me that this will happen and advised me not to talk. I ran to the room already booked for her and found her in the bed. She is sweating and crying. Zach is trying hard not to grimace as she is holding his hand in an iron grip. Her body from waist down is covered in some sheets and the doctor is standing there.
"Thank god, you are here. I think my hand is broken."
"What did you say?"
She shouted at him.
"Nothing, Cathy."
She screamed again as another contraction hit her. I ran to her and pushed Zach aside and held her hand. He sighed in relief and silently slipped out of the room. She squeezed my hand in a death grip and cried out again.
"This is all your fault."
"You are not sleeping with me again."
I just smiled at her and kissed her forehead. I knew that once everything is over she will feel bad for screaming at me. I already had that experience in dealing with her mood swings. She would scream or start crying suddenly or sometimes hit me but then after a while feeling bad for doing that to me. I smiled thinking of those nine months during her pregnancy.
"God, it hurts like hell and you are smiling. You stupid idiot."
"You are not touching me again."
And she went on like that. The doctor interrupted her after a while.
"You are dilated enough, Catherine. You are going to have to push with the next contraction."
"What the hell?"
"You should start pushing now."
After a lot of screaming and pushing and cursing and hitting me, and once even biting me yes hitting me and biting me, I heard the most beautiful sound in the world other than Cat's voice. I looked over at the doctor and he gave the baby to a nurse to clean and wrap the baby up.
"Congratulations. It's a baby girl and our princess."
I smiled and kissed Cat.
"You did great."
The nurse gave the baby to Cat and she held her in her arms and kissed her forehead. She started crying over the baby thinking of the baby five years back. She said that it felt like a girl then. Now we got our baby girl back again. My father and mother burst through the doors and Ari and Zach followed close behind. They all smiled at us and gushed over the baby saying that she is so beautiful.
"So, what is her name?"
Ari jumped up and down. She is still behaving like a kid even though she is 19. I looked over at Cat and she looked deep in thought for a while.
"Annabelle ?"
"It suits her. It's nice. Anna. Princess Annabelle."
Cat looks exhausted. So, everyone left so that she can rest for a while.
Her friends came to look at the new princess. Everyone is settled now doing what they love most. Cat finished her college early and started helping me in business. Trevor and Emma are married and have a baby boy. Well, he is not a baby anymore. He is nearly 3 years old and is constantly talking. Danny is engaged to his girlfriend he met in college and they are planning their wedding soon.
The country celebrated as they got a new princess and the celebrations lasted for a month. We finally had our happily ever after ........................................................
