JASMINE :
She won that race. That stupid commoner won that race. She is not of royal blood and yet people of this country love her. How can I prove to everyone that I'm better than her? That I'm a better queen than her. Edward was supposed to marry me but he married that girl. And everyone accepted her with out a second thought. And now she is pregnant with Edward's child. I should be the one with him. I'm the one who is supposed to marry him and give birth to his children and heirs to the country. How can I make Edward see that I'm the one for him and I love him? Why can't he understand that I'm the one for him? She is nothing compared to me. I'm better than her. I'm more beautiful than her, I know how to behave as a queen, I know everything there is to know about being royal. I will not let her take my Edward away from me. I will not let her be the queen when I'm the rightful one for the throne. She will not take it away from me. I always get what I want and I want Edward. He is mine and she took him from me. I will get him no matter what.
CATHERINE :
It's a normal day so far and everyone is happy that I won the race and that I'm pregnant. Everyone is happy that there is going to be a baby in the palace soon. Julie already started preparing the room for the baby's nursery. Right now I'm bored so I am walking to Danny's room when I saw Jasmine walking towards me. What now? If she so much as says Edward's name I will kill her. Maybe I can blame it on my mood swings. Pregnant women are supposed to have mood swings right? Why can't she leave us alone? We are happy. Why can't she see that? Edward doesn't want her or even like her. Why can't she understand that simple thing? She stopped once she reached me.
"Catherine."
Whenever I hear my name from her I get angry. She says it as if she is disgusted to say my name. And her voice gives me the creepy feeling.
"Jasmine."
"I just want to say that I'm happy that you won the race and congratulations on your pregnancy."
"Thank you."
Either the earth stopped rotating or I'm dreaming. Otherwise the Jasmine I know would never do what happened right now in a million years. I'm definitely dreaming. She congratulated me. I think it's not real and she is really not here.
"How are you doing? How is your health and the baby?"
She is making small talk with me? What the f**k is happening? I'm instantly suspicious.
"I'm fine. And the baby is also fine."
"Where are you going? Are you busy? I thought we could spend some time together. I am staying here till I finish college and it will be nice to have friends."
"I'm sorry but I'm busy right now. I have work to do. I will talk to you later."
"Sure."
She left me standing there. Did she just talk to me without glaring at me and without giving me the stink eye. Wow. I reached Danny's room and knocked on the door. I am about to open the door when I heard some shuffling. He opened the door out of breath and his clothes are all over the place.
"What are you doing?"
"I'm trying to pack my bags."
"Really, you are trying to pack your bags by scattering your clothes all over the room?"
"No, of course not. I know what I'm doing."
"Yes, I can see that."
"You can come in and help me. Instead you are standing there and making fun of me."
He whined. I sighed and went inside and tried to help him pack. But like I said it's like a tornado hit his room. Wherever I look there are clothes. By the time we finished packing his bags someone knocked on the door. I opened it to find Zach.
"Cathy, there is someone here to see you."
Saying this he stepped aside and immediately Emily squealed and hugged me.
"Surprise ."
I hugged her back. Then Danny and Trevor joined in the hug. They crushed me between them making my breath catch and then Emily started squealing again.
"You are pregnant. Oh my god. You are going to have a baby."
Trevor tried to calm her down but she pushed him back and dragged me to the bed.
"I want all the details."
She exclaimed. While Emily is interrogating me, Trevor and Danny are standing at the door talking. I thought they will save me from Emily but traitors, they left me with her. After a while they saved me from Emily.
"Congratulations on winning the race, Cathy."
They congratulated me.
"When did you get here? How did you know that I'm pregnant?"
"Danny called us and informed us. We came here as soon as we heard the news."
"How long are you staying?"
"Sorry, Cathy. We are leaving tomorrow with Danny. We have college from day after tomorrow."
I got sad that they are leaving so soon but smiled at them. We all went to the amusement park again but this time Edward came along with us. We went on all the rides and played games. Edward even won me a big teddy bear. We enjoyed ourselves and spent time together after so long. Even if we were together for my marriage it felt longer. We returned home in the evening. I'm so happy that all my friends are with me. Finally I'm having my happily ever after. My dad is not around anymore and Jasmine is not trying to steal Edward from me and I'm in love and I'm having a baby with the love of my life. Life is so perfect. What I didn't know is that there is still danger before my happily ever after.
