CHAPTER 3

CATHERINE :
I felt like I was floating in air and something smells really good. I didn't know when I slept in the jet and now someone is carrying me but I'm too tired to care. I felt something soft when I was placed down. It felt like leather, I can guess I'm in a car. I opened my eyes to look around and saw Edward sitting beside me looking out of the window. I tried to talk to him but he ignored me. I'm seriously considering hitting him to get his attention when the car stopped. I looked outside and saw a palace. I never thought I would see a palace this big. Just who the hell is he that he lives in a palace?
The guard outside the gate bowed and opened the gates and we went along a long pathway and at last the car came to a halt. Edward stepped out and I was still hesitating to step out of the car. Don't know what I got myself into this time. I want to turn around and run away from here. Before I could even finish that thought Edward opened the door for me and took my hand and pulled me out to his side and wrapped his arm around my waist. Finally i looked ahead and my jaw hit the floor.
In front of me was the most beautiful castle I have ever seen. It was breathtaking. He led me with him and we passed so many corridors which all looked same to me and I was still admiring the castle looking around that I didn't see Edward coming to a halt and walked straight into his back.
"Look where you walk."
"Then don't stop in the middle of corridors while walking maybe then I will not walk into you."
"Ahhh...."
He raised his hands and shouted. And someone started laughing.I ignored him and then saw a girl looking at us and laughing. I saw Edward mumble something under his breath and then he introduced us.
"This is my sister Ariella. Ella, this is my wife Catherine."
He introduced us and she jumped and hugged me so tight.
"Cant b . . . .breathe."
I managed to choke out. She untangled herself from me started talking.
"Wow. I like you. I never saw anyone treating Edward like this. I think I'm going to enjoy myself with you being here. Now Edward, I will leave. But father is really mad at you. He's been shouting at everyone for what you did."
"How the hell did that old man know what I did?"
"Well you can ask him when you see him. Now I must really go. I have some urgent work. Catherine, I will meet you later tonight. Bye."
Saying this she left us there and headed in the opposite direction of us. Edward started walking again and dragging me with him when I lagged behind watching everything around me. After a while he stopped in front of a door and opened it. I stepped in along with him and looked around. The room is really beautiful and is done in soft greens. It has a huge king sized bed in one corner and a big sitting room with cream coloured sofas. Thick forest green curtains were hanging from the windows and the has a huge balcony and a big garden can be seen from the balcony. After scanning the whole room I kept my face blank but I'm impressed. It is really beautiful but I didn't say anything to him and plopped down on the king sized bed. The bed is so comfy. I can't even describe how it is. It felt like I'm floating on feathers. After a while someone knocked on the door.
"Come in."
A guard walked in and bowed to Edward. What is it with people here and bowing to him like he is some sort of royalty. The guard slowly stood up properly.
"Your highness, your father would like to have a word with you."
That's it. I was shocked saying that would be the understatement of the century. I couldn't help myself anymore.
"Why the f**k is everyone bowing to you and did he just call you your highness?"
I shouted at Edward. He simply raised an eyebrow at me.
"You seriously don't know who I am?"
"That's what I said from the time you met me. Now who the f**k are you?"
"I'm Prince Edward Alexander William Windridge, Prince of Vuican Empire."
I married a prince while I was drunk. I f*****g married a prince. Oh my freaking god.
"I will be there in ten minutes."
I'm so busy trying not to freak out that I missed what Edward is saying to the guard. The guard nodded and then bowed again and then left. Edward turned to me after the door closed.
"I will be back in a while. Stay here . Don't go anywhere."
He ordered me like I will listen to him and do what he says. No way I hell I will stay in this room. I didn't get a chance to see the palace before so I decided to explore it now. As soon as I stepped out I started going left. The palace is really beautiful. There are green drapes all over the palace. I think it's their official colour or something and it has a symbol with a flying bird, I think it's a hawk. There are so many beautiful paintings on the walls and I got lost looking at them. I walked along the hallway looking at the paintings and peeking into every room I came across. After a while I came across a door that leads outside. I found myself in the garden I saw from the room. It's beautiful. It has all kinds of flowers like roses, lillies, daisies, carnations and so many others. After walking around a while I found a fountain and sat on it's edge and was enjoying the silence.
"Hello, there."
It's the guy who was at my home with Edward.
"Hi."
"I'm Zach."
"Catherine."
"So, Kate, what are you doing here?"
"Don't you know, your prince kidnapped me."
"What?"
"Don't say it like that where anyone can hear you. And he didn't kidnap you. You came willingly."
"I didn't have a choice but to come here."
"So what are you doing here?"
"Nothing. Just enjoying the view."
"So, how does it feel to be married to a prince?"
I didn't answer him and continued playing with the water. He went on talking for quite a while even when I didn't answer him. After a while he stopped talking and sat there with me. The silence was peaceful. I stood up after an hour and turned to him to see him watching me.
"Thank you, Zach for keeping me company. It's nice meeting you. Will see you around."
"Yeah, sure. Want me to show you the way to your room."
"Yes, please."
He showed me the way to get back to my room and left. I opened the door and stepped in. I locked the door and turned around and found his arrogant royal highness Prince Edward standing near the bed and glaring at me. He started walking towards me and I moved back. This continued until my back hit the wall and he pinned me to the wall by holding my hands behind my back. I thought of hitting him again but he started shouting at me.
"Where were you? I told you not to leave this room."
"You don't own me. And you don't have any right to question me on anything. I'm not gonna listen to you. And its none of your f*****g business."
"It is my business since you are my wife."
"Yeah, right. You drugged me and married me. I don't even remember marrying you. So, yes it's none of your business."
I said sarcastically. He face turned even more angrier if that is even possible. I thought that he was gonna hit me so I kicked his shin and he immediately let go of me.
"Don't touch me again and don't talk to me at all."
I shouted at him. He hit the wall beside me and left the room shutting the door with force. Well he shouldn't have shouted at me and manhandled me if he didn't want to get hit by me. Serves him right. I let out a sigh and went to the bathroom to take a shower. Wow, the bathrooms are also beautiful here. It has a big bathtub and a big shower. I will definitely have a bath later in that tub. I quickly took a shower as I'm really tired due to all the traveling. I got under the sheets after getting dressed. The bed is really soft and felt like I'm sleeping on clouds. I soon dozed off thinking about how my life changed with the first vacation I ever had as just yesterday I was planning and getting ready for college.
