I have a greater chance of draining the Mississippi with a straw, than getting Jackson to answer my call and talk to me. As I heard the last beep at the end of my unanswered call, I felt a sharp pain inside me. It was fear. It has been days of radio silence from him and with each day that I call and he refuses to answer me, that fear flooded my thoughts. The fear that we might never be able to sort out our differences and that I have lost him forever. Yet, the fear was not as strong as the hope of having him with me again. But hope is a double-edged sword. It helps you keep your faith, but it tortures you with the fear that everything could be just a mirage.
