SEIRRA'S POINT OF VIEW The lights dimmed a little more and the voice from the speakers echoed clearly around the room. They were calling people up. Awards, recognitions, handshakes and applause. I watched it all calmly, clapping when necessary, smiling when expected. I mean, that’s what you do, right? Show up, look presentable, don’t let your emotions slip through the cracks. But then I heard a name. A name that made every single nerve in my body go stiff. Tessa Black. The applause was loud—cheers even. Some people stood up, clapping like she was some queen of success. And for a second, I froze. Everything around me just disappeared, and all I could see was her smug face. Her laughter echoing in my head. Her hands clapping, not for me, but for my pain. My failures. My breakdowns.
