Lydia and I had been staying at her house in LA for a month and I was really enjoying it. I loved being with her and getting to work every day. We had never really settled in one place in the years we had been together. We did spend a lot of time in Glasgow and London and New York but we travelled a lot for work and we always travelled together. I was starting to slow down at work and let my oldest son John Jr take over the company and I planned on spending my retirement with Lydia. When we got to California it felt like home straight away so I decided to step away from the company completely. I wanted to relax and actually enjoy my life, and most importantly I wanted to spend it with Lydia. She seemed happy there too.
