Chapter 11 Marc was offering him money. Owen didn’t know whether to be elated or insulted. Money would enable him to stay in the house and explore a relationship with Marc. But being in debt to the man would surely poison everything good between them. No, he couldn’t do it. Having wrestled his ethics back into line, he regretfully said, “Thank you for the offer, but I can’t accept money from you.” “Why not?
