In the days following our emotional heart-to-heart over breakfast, Aunt Maggie and I seem to exist in our own little world of tranquility and contentment. With the pressures of school winding down and my impending departure date still looming hazily in the future, we settle into a rhythm of laid-back days spent enjoying each other's company and the beautiful summer weather. We take long walks together down the beach every morning, Aunt Maggie rambling endlessly about every random thought that enters her head as the salty breeze whips around us. I simply bask in her presence, feeling more at peace than I have in years. On afternoons when the heat gets too intense, we'll lounge around the house blasting music and working on our respective projects - Aunt Maggie with her latest macrame wall
