A Growl?

Nia's Pov

I woke up feeling refreshed since it is my habit to wake up early. I quickly did my morning routine and changed into sports b*a and yoga pants.

I did my exercise and went out for jogging. Some people were watching me like I am an alien. Like really guys, have they never saw someone jogging? (Note the sarcasm)

When I returned to the dorm, Ellie was still sleeping.

“Get up Ellie, it’s seven o’clock,” I said while shaking her.

“Yes, just five more minutes” she mumbled in her sleep. I chuckled at her behaviour. I thought she is a morning person but I think my assumption is wrong.

I went to the bathroom and took a hot and relaxing shower. I change into a green crop top and black skinny jeans. I tied my hair into a tight high ponytail, applied eyeliner and lip gloss.

I went outside and saw that Ellie was still sleeping.

“Ellie it’s eight-thirty already. Get your lazy a*s up.” I said in a fake angry tone. As soon as she heard that she jerked out of the bed and ran towards the bathroom.

I chuckled at her silly behaviour. She is so cute. After twenty minutes she emerged out of the bathroom fully dressed. How does she manage to get ready so fast? I let it slide.

“Let’s go” she said in her usual happy tone. I smile and nodded my head. I wore my white sneakers and we went to the cafeteria.

There we met Tina and Mint.

“Good morning Tina and Mint.” I said smiling and they greeted me back.

“So where are those two bastards? They didn’t come yesterday and now as well.” Ellie said.

“Oh, I met them while I am coming here. They said they will meet us in class.” Tina said. I nodded my head.

After breakfast, we went inside the college.

“I am going to the office. I will meet you all in the cafeteria or in class if we have any in common.” I told them. They nodded and left.

I reached at the office. I knocked on the door.

“Come in.” came a warm fatherly type voice. I entered in office.

“Good morning sir, I am Nia Carlson.” I said.

“Oh Nia, please sit down. I heard that you are the topper of our scholarship exam. I am so proud of you. So, how do you like the college and dorm??”

“Thank you so much for your appreciation sir and I really like college and dorm. Even the fellow mates are really nice.” I replied, smiling.

" I am glad you like everyone and everything here. Oh yes, I totally forgot why you came here.” he smiled with a little embarrassment.

“Here is your schedule and locker key” He handed me the keys and schedule paper.

I thanked him and exited the office. I went towards my first class.

I entered the classroom and saw him for the first time. My breath stopped. Our eyes met. He inhaled sharply and his eyes colour changed into black. His eyes colour changed! Really can someone do that? I was shocked.

I blinked my eyes and saw again now they were normal. He mumbled something under his breath. I ignored it.

I saw Ellie and walked towards her. She was sitting a row before him.

“Oh you are here, wow we have the same class. Let me see your schedule to see if we have any other in common.” I handed her my schedule and sat next to her.

“Hey, we have all the same classes isn’t that great?” She said excitedly. I nodded.

I am feeling a bit uncomfortable because I can feel someone staring at me. I turned around a bit to check, who is drilling holes in my head with all this staring.

Of course, it has to be that handsome boy.

The teacher came and give his introduction and taught basics about the subject. The class just dragged.

As class ended, Ellie and I stood up.

“Hey Nia, these are the two boys I was telling you about” I moved my head to where she was pointing.

They both were really handsome. The first one has grey eyes and brown hair.

The second one took away my breath. He was really gorgeous. He has a beautiful face, green eyes, kissable lips. I had an itch to kiss him on the spot, I somehow controlled myself.

He was black wearing jeans & a white-black polo t-shirt. He has beautiful tattoos on his hands. I just want to hug him and nuzzle my head into his broad chest.

" This is my brother Lucifer and this is John my ma.. I mean my boyfriend” she said pointing towards the second one.

“But Ellie you and he looks really different. Are you two really siblings?” I said. Comparing the two in my head.

“Oh, we are. He got his features from dad while I got mine from my mum. Many people doubt it” She said laughing. I nodded.

John extended his hand for a handshake. I smiled.

“Nia Carlson. It’s nice to meet you” I said shaking my hand. I heard a low growl.

I frown. ‘From where this growl came from?’

“Nia Carlson.” I extended my hand. As our hands touched, I felt a spark and I withdrew my hand back.

‘What was that?’ I questioned myself. I felt attracted to him. After that, he just left. I haven’t seen him in school the whole day after that. I forgot about it.

Little did I know that I will remember this day my whole life.
