Nia's Pov
"You like him, don't you??" Kevin asked.
"Huh? I like who?" I asked in a confused tone.
"You like Lucifer, don't you?" He asked. I blushed and asked,
"Is it that obvious??" I asked him.
"Of course, the way you look at him and you steal glances at him from time to time. Anyone with eyes can tell" He said.
"So should I confess to him??" I asked.
"Of course you should before you lose him to someone else" He said and then I remembered that he had already confessed to me, that means he also like me and today seeing him with these children and the way he handles them he earned a special place in my heart.
"You are right I will tell him how I feel, today and I hope he will accept me" I said.
"He definitely will, who will say no to you. You are so good. I have always wished to have a great sister like you" He said and my eyes got teary. Never have my brother said that.
"Who says I am not your sister. From today onwards we are brother and sister, blood or not. Do you want to know a secret of mine?" I asked.
"Yes"
"I am also adopted. I was also an orphan before" I told him and he hugged me tightly.
"Then it's decided, we are brother-sister from now on" I promised him.
After that, we spent more time together.
"It's time to go Nia" Lucifer said and I nodded.
"I will come back soon. I promise." I said to him.
"I will wait for you" He said and hugged me. We left the orphanage.
"It is already evening. I didn't know where the time flew away??" I said to Lucifer.
"Ya. Well, I really enjoyed today with everyone and.." He stammered "and with you" He said, coyly. Aww, despite being this handsome, he is so adorable.
I will tell him today no matter what even if he rejects me today I don't care. I have made up my mind. "Lucifer" I said. "Yes?" He asked.
"Do you have a place in mind like a beach, park or mountain where we can talk without anyone's interruption?" I said and he frowned. "Why?" he asked. "I want to tell you something." I said.
"Then just tell me here" He said.
"No, not here. I will tell you when we will reach there" I said.
"Ok but you are scaring me. What is so mysterious??" He said.
When you will hear my confession you will not say the same thing. I giggled at the thought and Lucifer looked at me with a 'Are you crazy?' look, on which I just shook my head in a 'nothing' sign and looked out of the window.
"So where are we going?" I asked. "We are going to a mountain clearing. It has a very good view of the stars at night." He said. Oh god, it is perfect. He doesn't even know that he is making my confession for him more special.
After an hour we reached our destination. I fell in love with the view at the moment we entered here. The view from here is magnificent and at night it makes everything more beautiful. There is also a lake with a waterfall. It was just magical.
"So what was that you wanted to say?" He asked and I thought it is now or never. I went near him, took his hands in mine and said,
"Lucifer I..." I tried to say but was not able to.
"Lucifer I.." I tried again.
"Lucifer I what Nia??" He asked. "LuciferIlikeyousomuch" I just blurted out.
"What?? What did you just say? Please repeat" He asked. I closed my eyes, took a long breath and said,
"Lucifer I like you so much. From the first day when I saw you I felt a pull towards you and that day outside the bowling alley when you ate those spicy Cheetos to earn my forgiveness, it touched my heart. Then today when you were playing with children my heart swelled. I finally realised how much I like you, So will you be my boyfriend??" I said all of it in one breathe.
Then I opened my eyes to see his reaction. He had a shocked reaction then a million-dollar smile appeared on his lips. He lifted me up by my waist and spun me around.
"Oh my god Nia. Thank you, Thank you so much for liking me. I like you too. In fact, I love you, I love you from the moment I saw you." He said all this while spinning me and when I heard the word love, I stiffened. He loves me.
He put me down and when he looked at my shocked expression, he immediately asked,
"What happened love??"
"Lucifer you just said that you love me. How can you?" I asked.
"Yes, love, I said that I love you. I never felt like this about anyone. I am certain that you are my one and only " He said.
"Lucifer I like you, I like you so much but love. Lucifer for me Love is a very pure thing. I still can't say it back. I need time" I said, hung my head low and my eyes become teary.
When he saw that he cupped my cheeks, wiped my cheeks, lifted my head and made me look into his eyes.
"Nia you don't have to say it back right now. Take all the time you need I will never force you to say it back until you feel like saying it. I just want you to know that I love you and only you. But I am upset" He pouted.
"Why?" I asked.
"I wanted to ask you first to be my girlfriend but you asked first" he whined.
I chuckled at his cuteness.
"Lucifer, it doesn't matter. The thing that matters is we are together right now"
"You are right" Then he hugged me and we stood there hugging each other for a long time. He pulled back, kissed my head and said,
"Nia before anything else I want to tell you something"
