Finally, reaching the door to the parlor I could hear some sniffles and small talk coming from within the room. Hating to interrupt, I opened the door slowly, making myself known to those within.
Stepping into the parlor, the windows were drawn closed, with it getting later in the afternoon, the room was dark with lamps lit throughout, causing soft glows and shadows to dance around the large room. The small family was gathered in the corner with my in laws sitting on the couch and my wife sitting on the floor with her head resting on her mother’s lap, her mother stroking her hair. The scene before me was very humbling, so I kept quiet and perused the room more with my Lycan sharp eyes.
