I gasp and almost choke on the cracker that I had just placed in my mouth. I grab my lemonade quickly and gulp it down. Finally, I was able to breathe and say, “Uhhhh…seriously, mom? You can turn anyone evil into ash? And you could wield magic to heal people? How do you know who has evil in their hearts?”
She nods and responds, “Yes, honey, seriously. Like I said, I wish there was a way to show you, but unfortunately, I can’t. My powers were very powerful.
