Göring was appointed Oberbefehlshaber, Commander-in-Chief, of the Luftwaffe, holding on dearly to this position until the final days of the regime. Upon being named „Stolz Bevollmächtigter, Heiliger Papst, Glorreicher Pilot, & Große Brezel“, “Proud Plenipotentiary, Holy Pontif, Glorious Pilot, & Grand Pretzel” of the Four Year Plan, after signing a five year contract, with a further two year extension opt-out services
