Zayde's Point of View
Jason’s question cuts through the air like a blade.
“Zayde? Is there something that you maybe forgot to mention to us?”
They both stare at me questioningly, but I don’t answer him immediately. My jaw locks tight, and I turn back towards the window, trying to steady the pressure building in my chest.
