Chloe's Point of View It has been a week since the party and the days following our conversation were... different. In a good way. Zayde still acted like himself. Stern, quiet, a little overprotective, but now there was something softer beneath the surface when he looked at me. I caught it in all the little things. The way he always saves me a spot at training. How he checks in when I skip breakfast, lunch or dinner. And the way he always lingers when we say goodnight, like he wants to stay a bit longer but doesn't want to push it. After our kiss that night at the party, we haven't spoken about it again.
