I felt empty. And drained. I had no desire to move or do anything. What could I possibly do? The pyramid was gone and even though my physical appearance didn’t change back, I had no powers.
My weak combat skills were weak and I couldn’t take down ODE even if I was stupid enough to try. The cells were silent. The agonizing and crazed screams coming from other prisoners has ceased.
I stole a glance at the woman in the cell next to me. Her features looked familiar but I couldn’t place were I had seen her. She sat stiff her eyes focused on the gates of the cell. If she stared any harder, the gates might just open.
She sensed my gaze because she turned and looked at me.
