CHAPTER 11

Her mouth moved slowly against mine, our tongue entwining together. I cupped her face tenderly and angled my head to kiss her better. For too long I has imagined what it would feel like to kiss her and now I am finally doing it, it was everything I hoped for and more. I remembered she was semi conscious and wanted to pull away but her hand gripped the back of my neck tightly keeping her in place. I wasn't even surprised by her strength anymore and I didn't even try to pull back again. I kissed her deeper and decided to enjoy it while it lasted. And well it didn't last for long because I heard the front door slam open and I jerked away from her. She whined but made no other move, she just lay still. She probably passed out I concluded. I pulled the blanket and put her hands above it. She whined again as I opened the door. I looked back to confirm she was still asleep before I walked out, closing the door behind me. I wanted to go to the bedroom but I decided to check Adam first. He was sitting silently just staring blankly at the wall. "You alright?" He grunted. "You were gone for a while" "I needed to clear my head" "You okay now?" He nodded. "How is she doing?" I was even surprised that he asked at all. "She is asleep" he nodded. "I'm going to go clean up" he said and not waiting to hear from me, he walked into the hallway. I decided to just sit outside here and give him some space then check on Violet before retiring to bed. I could hear the sound of the shower running as I sat silently. I must have dozed off because when I opened my eyes, the cabin was silent save from the snores coming from down the hallway in the room I shared with Adam. I opened Violets door gently. She seemed to be asleep and I was about to close the door when I heard a low whine. I entered the room and shut the door silently while I approached the bed. She seemed to be struggling and there was a light sheen of sweat on her forehead. I place my palm on her forehead, she was burning up. She had a high fever. I grabbed the towel from the towel door and a bowl of water. I dipped the towel into the cool water and dabbed her forehead. I then soaked a smaller towel and folded it, then I placed it on her head. I used the other towel to clean her arms, neck and her legs. When I was satisfied, I returned the towel and bowl to their original position before climbing into bed with her. The bed wasn't so large, but it was big enough for two of us to lay down in if I lay on my side and that was what I did. Her injured arm was safely away from me incase I should turn during the night. I rested my head on the pillow. I was so f*****g tired and in less that two minutes, I was out. I felt weight on my stomach and I woke up. Violet was above me, straddling my stomach. Her eyes were open but she looked unfocused. "Are you okay? You had a fever" "Shut up" she mumbled and kissed my lips. I lay there frozen for a while before I moved my lips against hers. Her skin no longer felt hot anymore. It was cool as I touched her, caressing her arms. She moved her hips lower now grinding on my straining erection. I grabbed her arm, avoiding the bullet wound and tried to pull her off me but she didn't budge. Her strength was quite alarming for someone who was semi conscious. She ground her hip harder against me, small whimpers leaving her mouth. I tried to buck her off me, but it just sent my crotch right against her and damn if it didn't feel pleasurable. She rocked harder against me until she squealed and slumped against my chest. "Violet" I shook her gently. No sound came from her. I rolled us over until she was beneath me and knelt beside her. Her face looked flushed and her hair scattered around her face. I brushed her hair backwards and pulled the cover over her one more time. This time, I let it stop at her waist. I exited her room quietly and closed the door. I went to the kitchen and took a large full of water before going back to the bedroom. I stripped down and took a shower before climbing into bed. The ruby on my chest glowed as I ran my fingers over it. A strange surge of energy flowing through me. I could feel my muscles rearranging themselves. My neck twisting at an awkward angle and something crawling all over my body to my face. Then suddenly, it disappeared. Everything went still and quiet and the ruby stopped glowing. The last bit of energy I had left disappeared with whatever came and I blacked out. My head was pounding and I felt extremely tired. I rolled in the bed, catching myself before I fell over the side. I opened my tired eyes and looked over to Adams bed. It was empty. The only sound I could hear were gunshots. I peeped outside the window and saw Violet and Adam practicing shooting. She looked healthy enough but should be resting considering she got shot and had a fever last night. I sighed in relief. It was thankfully not the henchmen from ODE. I dragged my feet outside to where they were. "You are supposed to be resting" I told Violet. "I feel better. There is no time to rest and you shouldn't either. Get ready for practice" "What? Practice today? I really need to rest" "You rest, you die" she slapped the gun against my chest and patted my back as she went indoors.
