Rose’s POV
Swallowing nervously, I try to look nonchalant as I step outside of the tunnel and into the small clearing where I had found the invisible barrier to Simone’s secret camp.
Simone is currently being fawned on by everyone in Luca’s office, so this is the only chance I have to sneak in and steal that potion.
Digging under the collar of my sweatshirt, I wrap my fingers around my green amulet and close my eyes, trying to draw strength from its powers, hoping that I can pull this off without getting caught.
Simone has no reason to keep me around now. She got what she wanted and, honestly, it would be better for her if I just disappeared.
But its definitely better for me if I don’t get caught…by Luca’s men or Simone’s, as I really have no legitimate excuse to be out here.
