Black Butterfly

Prologue

I can feel the heat of rays, touching my skin that comes from the window. It's morning already. I moved my blanket up to cover my nakedness. My eyes automatically search for Conan, my boyfriend. I roamed my eyes around but I can't see no one, even his shadow. I decided to get up  while my body's covered by this blanket. 

"Conan?" My voice echoed inside this hall-like room. It's my grandparent's master bedroom but it's where we shared our hottest night in our life. Last night became the happiest night of my life. It felt like I own the world and Conan is the sun and my world only revolves around him.  

Now that my hell touches the cold floor, I can finally go outside the room. I can clearly see the wide spaces inside the mansion but I can't find my love. Even though, I can still feel myself smiling like an i***t because I can still feel his touches all over my body. Last night, I feel loved. He loves me very much so he won;t leave me. 

I headed towards the kitchen to cook for something and the day ended without any traces of him. I am worried. It's already 3 am in the dawn but all I can do is to stare at the clock and think of him. When will you get back? 

A loud thug of door distracts me from thinking and I hurriedly  run to open the huge door, hoping it's Conan and I am not wrong, It's really him. I teared in joy because I really thought, he did leave me. I ran to him and hug him but I get stunned, feeling nothing but cold air. I went through his body.

"H-How-" My body is trembling in fear and confusion. 

"I am not real."

"What are you saying?" I faced him and looked at him. 

" I am not real, Meredith."

"You're real. Remember last nigh-"

"Just leave."

"Why would I leave?"

"BECAUSE I AM NOT f*****g REAL!" The wind blows hard and coldly, sending different chills to my body. I cried in thoughts I am denying before, in thoughts I didn't know were real. "I am just a dream."
