Episode 2: The Growing Distance

Jessa Lyn and Jemar were both busy with their respective lives. Jessa Lyn was swamped with work as she was assigned to lead a new project at her company, while Jemar was busy with his studies and part-time job. With their busy schedules, they struggled to find time for each other.

One day, Jessa Lyn received a message from Jemar saying that he was going to be busy with his exams for the next few weeks. Jessa Lyn was disappointed, but she understood the importance of Jemar's studies. She replied, "No worries, love. Good luck with your exams. I'll be here waiting for you."

But as the weeks went by, Jessa Lyn started to feel a growing distance between her and Jemar. Jemar rarely messaged her or replied to her messages, and when he did, his messages were short and curt. Jessa Lyn tried not to overthink it, but the growing distance between them was starting to take a toll on her.

One night, Jessa Lyn decided to call Jemar to talk about their relationship. She wanted to know what was going on and if there was anything she could do to help. Jemar answered the phone, but Jessa Lyn could tell that he was distracted.

"Jemar, is everything okay?" Jessa Lyn asked.

"Yeah, everything's fine," Jemar replied, but his voice was flat.

"Are you sure? You seem distant," Jessa Lyn said, her concern growing.

"I'm just really busy with my studies and work. I don't have much time to talk right now," Jemar said, his tone dismissive.

Jessa Lyn felt a pang of hurt and frustration. She had been supportive of Jemar's studies and work, but it seemed like he didn't have any time for her anymore. She tried to keep her voice steady as she said, "Okay, Jemar. I understand that you're busy, but I feel like we're growing apart. Can we talk about this?"

Jemar sighed. "I'm sorry, Jessa Lyn. I know I've been distant lately, but I just have a lot on my plate right now. I promise I'll make it up to you when things settle down."

Jessa Lyn tried to believe him, but the doubts and fears crept up on her. Was Jemar losing interest in her? Was their relationship falling apart?

As the days went by, Jessa Lyn tried to stay busy and distract herself from her worries. She poured herself into her work and her hobbies, but no matter what she did, she couldn't shake the feeling that something was wrong between her and Jemar.

Finally, one day, Jemar called her and said he had some news to share. Jessa Lyn's heart raced as she waited for him to speak.

"Jessa Lyn, I got a scholarship to study abroad," Jemar said, his voice excited.

Jessa Lyn felt a mix of emotions – happiness for Jemar's achievement, but also a sense of dread. She knew that this would mean even more distance between them.

"When are you leaving?" Jessa Lyn asked, trying to sound supportive.

"In two months. It's a great opportunity for me, Jessa Lyn. I hope you understand," Jemar said.

Jessa Lyn felt a lump in her throat. She knew that this would be a huge challenge for their relationship, but she didn't want to hold Jemar back from pursuing his dreams.
