My eyes opened slowly and my head was pounding, I felt like I had received a huge blow behind the neck. I saw the beige ceiling of the SUV first, then Elgin's anxious face above mine.

"Headache," I murmured, rubbing my forehead. “What happened?”
"You passed out and hit a rock," he said, stroking my hair.
