My eyes opened slowly and my head was pounding, I felt like I had received a huge blow behind the neck. I saw the beige ceiling of the SUV first, then Elgin's anxious face above mine. “Scarlett, how are you feeling?”    "Headache," I murmured, rubbing my forehead. “What happened?”       "You passed out and hit a rock," he said, stroking my hair.       I straightened up to a sitting position. “Ouch... everything's spinning.”   “Easy,” he said, putting my jacket on my shoulders.    Mechanically, I put my arms inside, while closing my eyes trying to collect my thoughts. They weren't very clear. I felt weighed down like I had a bad dream that I couldn't remember.
