The next day, Emily woke up and rushed to her quarter to get freshened up. After bathing and getting appropriately dressed, she headed towards the kitchen to get Madeline's favourite beverage.
Before she could climb up the staircase, Ferdinand approached the lady and announced, "The alpha has declared that nobody would be allowed to enter her room."
"Does that need to include the handmaiden as well?" asked Emily with curiosity evident in her eyes.
Ferdinand nodded and then left. Emily was sure that Madeline had denied everyone access to her room because she particularly didn't wish to see her. After their skirmish the previous night, Emily was heartbroken.
