“A thunderstorm on Halloween…” Susan Clemonte muttered to herself wistfully. Her magic crystals were outside; charging and absorbing the violent energy being released to the world. She thought of ghosts and souls that had until sunrise before being summoned back to the afterlife. They’d try their best to find a vessel to possess; they always do. A single knock came from the front door. Turning away from the opened window where she had been staring at the heavy dark clouds obstructing the moon, Susan gathered her black velvet dress and made for the door. She was dressed as a witch for Halloween; the irony made her husband Robert, laugh. She wondered if there were still kids that’d go trick or treating in the harsh weather.
