Day 3: The Bouncer I snapped wide awake, and leaned over to take a peek at the alarm clock next to the bed. Nine twenty-nine. Of course. My Julie was gone, retreated into the fuzziness of my dream. I was left with the residual images of her wearing that wedding dress. I turned onto my side and almost jumped when I found J0 lying next to me in bed. I was so caught up in my thoughts of Julie that it had slipped my mind that J0 was here under the covers as well. I leaned on one elbow so I could see J0’s face and body better. She still hadn’t opened her eyes. It was hard to imagine that she was not Julie.
