Alpha plans

Dad left with Zane first thing after breakfast eager to get home to their mates and pack.

I thanked them and hugged them both goodbye and promised to call with an update after talking with the King.

King Xander video called me not long after, so I mind linked Stella, Ben, MeiLee, and Mike to join me in the office so they could hear the King's decision.

Alpha David would forfeit his life for the crimes against my pack. I felt relief knowing Alpha Gus, as well as the other 67 pack members deaths, were being avenged and that I wouldn't have to think of him ever again.

I bowed my head. "Thank you your majesty."

"Just doing my job" King Xander waved me off with a smile. "Now Adiera, tell me what you are planning to do with your own pack? Are you planning on chosing an Alpha to lead by your side? If you want, I can pass you on some names and phone numbers of potential mates?" He gave me a cheeky smile.

I felt my cheeks heat in embarrassment.

"Your Majesty, I was intending to lead as Alpha until Alpha Gus' son can take over his pack."

"I didn't realise he had a son... How old is he? Why do we not have any records of this" the King mumbled shuffling through his papers.

"Probably because he is still cooking your Majesty" I replied with a laugh.

King Xander looked amused for a moment, then put his serious game face back on.

"Explain to me why you think this is a good idea Alpha Adiera"

My breath hitched. He called me Alpha Adiera. He's saying he is open to being supportive of me if I can prove I have really thought things through!

"Alpha Augustas Altruist as you know was the only heir to his pack. He lost both his parents in a plane crash only a few years back."

I shrugged.

"We could always merge with the Black Claw pack to the north, as Alpha Zane is my brother but I had hoped to stay seperate ... I offered his Beta Ben Daniels the Alpha position, but he passed, preferring to support me with what I'm about to disclose to you."

I took a deep breath... this was it. The moment of truth.

"I would like for my pack to be known for being she wolf and minority friendly.

I want to open my gates to supernaturals of all ages regardless of their background, status or s****l orientation, who may be facing persecution from their own packs. To offer a safe space for us to come together and provide opportunities to heal, study, learn self defense and train.

I am already planning on expanding our pup care facilities so mother's without support people, can access our services while they are here.

Down the track I'd like to be able to provide counseling services and eventually set up a 24/7 emergency support line for person's in need.

As part of my 5 year plan I'd like to have the people and resources to supply security detail to protect Luna's and other supernaturals in need of a female based crew. I'm sure some of the other packs are already in security and I'd love the opportunity to liase with them."

King Xander stared intently at me deep in thought.

"You've really thought about this haven't you Alpha Adiera?"

I bit the inside of my cheek.

I went with my gut to share some personal information and trust the King.

"My Aunt Lacey was killed by her fated mate because he found out she was "tainted"" I used air quotes, "with Elvan blood. I want to do everything I can do so that no other person is faced with a similar situation. So many packs don't allow women to train or fight. Some look down on their members due to their s****l orientation. I believe it's a disservice and want to provide a safe place for them to explore their options."

I looked at King Xander waiting for his reaction.

"I am really liking this idea of yours Alpha Adiera."

He tapped at his chin in thought. "We at the capital have similar opportunities and programs on offer, but the available slots always fill up so quickly and there is a long wait list. Your pack location on the other side of the country will make it easier for a lot of the smaller packs to travel to."

His eyes clouded over in mind link.

"I'm sending you someone to help you get this up and running. I'm also going to email you our course overview, notes, activities and printouts and all that jazz. When you feel confident to start the ball rolling, I can start referring New Moon as a choice of venue." He looked away and smiled "Ah! Thank you for coming Verona! Alpha Adiera, this is one of my self defense trainers, Gamma Verona Sparks. I am gifting her to you for a couple of weeks so we can access where you are at in skill level and training focus etc."

A lovely Red head came up beside King Xander with a big smile and waved at me.

"Hello Alpha Adiera!" Out of the corner of my eye I saw Mike perk up straighter upon hearing her voice.

"Hello Gamma Verona! I'm looking forward to working with you!"

"Expect to pick her up from the airport tomorrow. I'll send you through the flight details."

"Thank you so much your Majesty."

We ended the phone call.

"So, Mike, happy to pick up our esteemed guest from the airport tomorrow then?" I gave him a knowing smile.

He flushed a delightful shade of pink and nodded.

Everyone in the office shared a knowing chuckle.

If my intuition was correct, Verona wasn't going to leave our pack at all and King Xander would need to find a replacement trainer.

I dismissed them all from the office for lunch. I mind linked Margo to send someone up with some food for me, and then called Zane to catch him up with all that had happened.

Alpha Donald called shortly thereafter confirming approval for all 28 of our prospective new pack members who would be arriving the next day. I thanked him and ended the phone call.

I got started planning the welcome ceremony for the following day for our new members.

I mind linked Margo and we planned an afternoon tea spread of finger foods thinking it would be a great icebreaker.

I wanted the invitation open for everyone to be able to meet our new members.

Being done with everything for the day I invited Stella on a run with me.

It was so nice to clear the thoughts of the day and focus solely on the pounding of our feet and enjoying the crisp evening air.

We finished and parted ways to freshen up before dinner.

After dinner I planned to turn in for bed. I was exhausted.

I can't believe I 'wasted' almost an entire day in the office doing paperwork!

I would have to look into getting a secretary!

Or my own Luna I thought with a laugh.
