"What are you all doing after dinner."
They all met my eyes with mixed reactions, but one thing I knew was that they all had plans.
~ * Movies and chill anyone? * ~
"We'll brainstorm about it this week."
They all nodded at me, visibly relaxed and were all looking gooey eyed at their mates.
Stella was on her phone smiling. Probably with texting a hook up.
Sigh.
The thing I missed the most about Gus?
The cuddles. Laying in bed half asleep, head in the crook of his shoulder, his arm around my back. My right hand playing with his testes like my own personal stress balls. Which would usually lead to other things...
The s*x.
Ohmygiddyaunt! The s*x was so freaking a.h.m.a.z.i.n.g!
The sparks. No! Fireworks!
Long and mutiple orgasms.
Aspen sighed loudly think about her furry other half's prowess undoubtedly as well. Fk me, Gus' wolf! So so hot! They could be outside, all night long, doing the nasty. The way our wolves would come forward and we could be as rough as we wanted with each other! Thank the Goddess for our accelerated healing, so no one could see the efforts on our skin the next day!
Aspen whimpered needily, and it came out of my mouth as a strangled noise. All my friends heads jerked to me with pity in their eyes.
Uh... that wasn't the noise my wolf was making!
Ohmygosh! I went bright red and excused myself! I'd rather let them think I was sad than Aspen making hot noises thinking about Alto!
Aspen snickered at my embarrassment.
Okay, I can't think of things like that or I might grab that cute long haired warrior... except he'd run his mouth... Nope! Not going there! I could use my Alpha command not to say anything... Adiera no!
Don't want to risk the repercussions of that mistake I already know he would be! I couldn't sleep with anyone from my pack. Too much to risk with them thinking it would mean something when it doesn't.
Up to my office I go. Even if I'm frustrated, I can do something productive with my time.
I internet searched security cameras and motion sensor lights. That might be a good start. Companies that come out and assess the pack and what it needs? That could be useful. The second pack house will be started on next week. Maybe we should wait until it's built and do them both at once? We could get the motion sensor lights until then? Wolves eyes were sensitive and if they are tuned for night vision, the bright lights could be a deterrent.
Sprinklers? I wonder if I could hook up sprinklers with wolfsbane in the water as a security measure?
A knock at the door interrupted my thoughts.
"Come in!" Ollie stuck his head in. I waved him in. "Shut the door." I smiled at him. I gestured to the chairs.
"Hey Alpha! Started at the local school today."
"How's it all going?"
He shrugged. "So far, so good. Wanted to ask, are you still wanting someone in tech? I will need to pursue further study and training. Are you able to pay for my studies if I work for you?"
I nodded.
"We do it for a lot of our pack members. Does this mean you are ready to join our pack?"
Ollie looked at me seriously. "Yes Alpha ma'am."
"Great!" I got up and grabbed a bottle of water from my office bar fridge and a glass from the cupboard.
I sat back at my desk and pulled out my silver knife and handed it to Ollie. I poured some water into the glass.
I grabbed some hand sanitizer and squirted some in my hands, then offered it to Ollie who put his hand out to get squirted too. We both rubbed it in.
"Okay, when you are ready, make a bit of a cut on your finger, not just a prick because it will heal too quickly, and make sure at least a drop goes into the glass."
He did as directed, then I did the same.
"What's your full name Ollie?"
"Oliver Rozelle."
I nodded. "Let's do this."
"With our blood shared, we start anew. We welcome Oliver Rozelle to our pack,
New Moon.
With this bond formed, we break all others. Welcome to our family, sisters and brothers."
I offered the cup to Ollie to drink first. He flinched a little feeling the bond break to his old pack, and then I too, took a drink.
"Welcome Ollie to your new home."
Ollie smiled broadly hearing my voice in his mind.
"Thank you Alpha Adiera." He answered me back also in mind link his head bowed slightly.
Only my blood was necessary for the bond to work, but with taking his blood as well, our link would be stronger.
I needed for us to have a strong link with my big plans for Ollie.
"This is your last year of school right?"
"Yes Alpha. Then I'll be looking at studying."
"As future head of my security team, I expect you to keep up with your training as well."
Ollie's eyebrows rose so high they got lost in his long fringe.
"Head of your security team?" he spluttered out obviously in shock.
"Yes! I've been wanting to extend our resources over the next 5 years to provide security for supernaturals. Mainly towards female supernaturals. I have been racking my brain how to incorporate a good mix of both genders to achieve this, and you've provided me a solution!"
He looked at me confused for a moment. "Is this because I'm gay?"
"Yes! I'm thinking that Alpha's would be a lot more comfortable with gay males around their precious females." I shrugged. "Plus you asked about it, so you're obviously curious to learn. I'm not wanting to force you to do something you're not interested in doing." I smiled at the young man.
He seemed shocked. I stayed quiet, and gave him a moment to take it all in.
He looked up at me his eyes a bit wet.
"I expected to be shunned, and shoved into a corner working in a useless low end job because of my s*xuality." He softly said. "Yet, here you are, an Alpha of a pack who I've known for less than a week, offering me not only a place in your pack, and the opportunity to study, but also a prestigious position!" He looked at me intensely as though searching my eyes for untruths.
"It's amazing how a change of perspective can work for different people." I put my hand on his arm gently.
"Thank you Alpha Adiera."
I stood up and pulled him into a hug. He stiffened at first, then leaned in, and even picked me up for a second! I squeaked and swatted at him, just like all those times Margo had done to me!
We both pulled back smiling at each other.
"Can I go tell Liam?"
I laughed. "Of course you can! If Liam wants to go down the same path, I am happy to pay for his study too!"
"I'll let him know. Thank you again."
I nodded and he left my office grinning widely.
The phone rang, bringing me out of my thoughts.
The caller ID said it was Zane. I hope everything was Okay?
"New Moon. Head b*tch talking."
Zane laughed. "Hey Sis! How's things?"
"Good! Is everything alright with you guys?"
"Yeah! Just wondered if you were going to put up a fight and manipulate me in getting Derryk to stay at your pack as well?" He gave me a dirty look.
"Hahaha no. I mean, if you're offering, I suppose I could take him off your hands!"
Zane snorted. "Offering up my bestie, that happens to also be my head tracker? Not a chance. Just checking in with you to see if you were going to make a song and dance about it since the rogue was on your territory."
"Nope. Emily is not a member of my pack. Just a wanderer that happened to be Derryk's mate. Lucky he was here when she crossed over our border huh?"
Zane nodded. "I thought it was weird he volunteered for the job when it was only a few days, but his wolf must have felt that he needed to be there."
"It's funny how things work out. If it wasn't for Aspen, I wouldn't have met Gus when I did."
"Same for me with Kayla. I had no idea what was going on. I was at the wrong place at the wrong time but couldn't seem to fix it. Zepher would not leave me alone until I let him take over and sniff her out! We are lucky our wolf counterparts are so smart. Mind you, they've done this a couple of times now, so they should know what they're doing."
~* All our wolves are gifted by Selene, and when our human half dies, her wolves get welcomed back to her, to be reborn when she again chooses them for another human. Most of our wolves are old souls. *~
"Thank the Goddess, because sometimes the humans attached are pretty damn clueless!"
"To be fair though, humans in general are clueless. I am glad to have Aspen helping me out. I don't envy anyone being wolfless. Imagine being a regular human?"
We both clasped our chests in horror, which made us both laugh.
We wound up our phone call and said our goodnights.
I'm hoping to hear back from the crematorium tomorrow. Hopefully then we can finalise the plans for our remembrance ceremony on Thursday.
I fell asleep with Gus on my mind.
