Recruitment post

I woke up refreshed. There was still light outside! I grabbed my phone and headed down to the first floor to take photos of the head warriors apartment. They were on the opposite side to our guest suits, so close enough to the warriors rooms, but far enough away for their privacy. I missed Hayden. He was an amazing warrior. He died so young and never even got to find his mate. Life was really not fair. I opened up the windows and turned the lights on. The apartment looked bare without Hayden's personal touches about the place! I took photo after photo of all the rooms. I might get started on this wanted poster, I mean recruitment post. A catchy heading? 'Do you have what it takes?' That might attract peeps to read it at least. I kept going til I had a good rough copy of what I needed to say. Ooh, hungry again. Best go get some more food into me. It's like stoking a furnace! Mini Gus is burning up all the food I keep putting in. I headed to the kitchen. It was too early yet for dinner to be started, so I just grabbed some leftovers from the fridge to heat up. It was so quiet in here today! Almost eerie. When I had finished eating I headed to my office again. "Hey Liam? Do you have an email account I could send you a copy of what I want the ad to say?" "Sure do Alpha! It's Liam.is.hot@weremail.com" I snorted! Of course. I'm shaking my head at the youth of today. Lol. I feel so much older than I am... "I'm sending you something. Read it through when you get a chance and let me know what you think. Thanks my dude!" I linked him. I also sent him through the photos I'd taken of the apartment to accompany the advert. Was there anything I was missing I should include? I might ask my crew when I had them together again next. I wonder what Stella was up to? "Whatcha doing?" I linked her. "Oh you're up! Come down to the training grounds! Verona's leading a session and Mike is being the attacker! It's hilarious!" I made my way inside where I could hardly see what was happening due to the crowds of people observing what was going on. Indeed Mike was 'attacking' the small she wolves of our pack! He was moving slowly and growling like a bear! The Omegas were trying to do what Verona suggested, but didn't want to hurt Mike so were being too gentle with the moves she was showing them. It really was a comedy of errors. Verona called Mike up the front to show them again how to hold their arms, hook their foot around their legs from behind and hit them in their most sensitive parts to get away. Verona was not being gentle at all and Mike went down hard while all the she wolves gasped. They were worried for him and not thinking of themselves in the same situation! "Warriors! Attack!" I yelled suddenly, and all the gents willing to help suddenly pounced on the unsuspecting women. A lot of them squealed in fright, then they recovered and reacted really well, doing exactly as Verona demonstrated to them; how to get away from someone attacking you from behind. Verona yelled to the group, "stay paired up and practice this next move." I grabbed Stella, and we too joined in. When I turned around again, everyone who had previously been watching, had paired up and we were doing a full pack session! My heart was so full of pride and love for my pack I could have burst! When the session had concluded, I looked at Margo who was beaming at me from across the field. I went over to her with the biggest grin on my face. "Great to see you at the session Margo!" "Thanks Alpha! Verona came by and personally asked all the kitchen staff what a good time to train was! It was so nice to be able to attend a session catering to us!" Verona wandered over, "You all did such a great job! Nice work Alpha getting the warriors to help. I didn't want the ladies to get overwhelmed but then they were too soft on Mike!" He came over to us putting his hands around Verona's waist. "You can go hard on Mike because you can kiss his boo-boos better later." I whispered loudly. Mike flushed giving me a dirty look and Verona giggled. "Thank you Verona. We all enjoyed the session." Margo chirped happily. "You're most welcome Margo! 3 times per week I want to see you and your staff joining in on the training!" "Ma'am yes Ma'am!" Margo playfully saluted her. "We need to go make a start on dinner. We'll see you all soon." "How did they all do?" I asked Verona. "Once they get their confidence up, they will do great. The first session is always the trickiest." "When are you planning on going back to the capital?" "We were thinking this week?" Verona looked up at Mike who nodded. "Do you need a truck? Or would you like to take the Ute?" "I don't have a lot of things, so a Ute should be big enough." "We're having the remembrance ceremony on Thursday, so it may be best to wait until Friday to drive then spend the weekend?" Mike nodded. Verona smiled. "That sounds like a great plan!" "It's almost dinner time, and we still need to freshen up. Have you got time after dinner to come to my office?" "Sure." We parted ways to freshen up before eating. There's no way we could enjoy our food with over 150 odd sweaty smelling bodies in the dining room! I took my time to wash and condition my long dark chocolate brown hair. I had always kept it long as Gus loved it, but maybe I should cut it? I did go through the a lot of hair product! I added some coconut oil to it after I stepped out, and wrapped it in a T-shirt to dry and curl up naturally. I got dressed into one of Gus' band shirts and some comfy leggings and headed down to eat. I laughed at my reflection in my dressing table's mirror. Glamorous 24/7 I am not! Taking up residence at our usual table, I checked my emails for a reply from Liam. He's sent through an attachment that looked like a poster with coloured lettering and bullet points. I read through it and it sounded awesome! Stella joined me at the table, followed by Ben and MeiLee and I passed it round so they could all read through it. "Sounds good! Were you going to post it up tonight? The kingdom newsletter will be coming out this week, and we should really have the recruitment poster up before then." said Ben. "Good thinking babe!" MeiLee said giving him a kiss. I replied to Liam, praising him for a job well done. I then posted the recruitment attachment and the accompanying apartment photos on the New Moon pack Werebook page. I knew if I didn't post it straight away I'd forget later. "You guys are happy to do group interviews for the position with me?" "Hell yeah!" Ben enthusiastically agreed. "We're going to have to work closely with the chosen candidate, so we'll need to know who we're signing up for." Stella and MeiLee nodded agreeing with Ben. "Let's go get some food." Most of the tables had gone up to help themselves already, while we'd been deep in our own conversations. Mike and Verona joined us as we got back to the table. "Man! You must have balls of steel! Verona wasn't playing around! I saw you go down and I swear, every guy on that field gave out a whimper!" "I wore my loose fitting jeans for a very good reason!" Mike winked at him. "It still didn't tickle, but it protected me better than not wearing them!" We finished up eating and headed up to the office. We parted ways with Ben and MeiLee and headed in, Stella at my heels, shutting the door behind us. "Verona, I'd like you to take a bottle of essential wolfsbane oil back with you as a gift to King Xander." Verona looked at me wide eyed. "There is a contract he must sign, with his Beta as witness, and his Beta must sign one too as the King's witness." I handed her a folder with the 2 contracts in it. "The contract just ensures my privacy, the oil won't be used for nefarious purposes and the safety directions have been read. The contract will be bound by magic upon your return." Verona looked wide eyed at me again and nodded. "I don't have to say this needs to be kept between yourselves." "No. This definitely needs to be kept secret from the other packs. It could lead to you being a target." Verona looked at me curiously. "Why are you sharing this sensitive information with Xander?" I shrugged. "If you can't trust your King, who can you trust? Alpha Donald told me there was a supply issue with the wolfsbane he had been sourcing. Leaving the Capital without wolfsbane could lead to bigger issues. I want him to know that if there is a problem with sourcing it, he can always purchase some from me. We have a large green house full of thriving plants. We extract and bottle the oil locally. We can also do bulk sized bottles of the oil, and can supply dried leaf bags for making tea as well. Just make sure he doesn't open the bottle to smell it, and he can study the affects of the oil at his own risk." Verona carefully picked the bottle up from the table and grabbed the folder with the contracts inside. "I wanted to give it to you now because I'm going to have a stressful week ahead and I didn't want to forget." Verona nodded in understanding. "He is a good man. I'll make sure it gets to him privately and safely." "Thank you." "So, what brought all this on?" Stella asked once Verona and Mike had left my office. "Just a gut feeling I've been having lately. It's weird, I've never met King Xander, but still feel like he's someone I can trust. I feel it in my bones something is brewing. I've got a gut feeling that Xander needs to know I'm on his side if things go sideways." "Feel like hanging out and watching a movie with me?" Stella asked. I was getting too caught up with my worrying. Chilling out and watching a movie with my bestie sounded like a great idea. "Sure! As long as we can snack while we're watching it! Ooh! We can grab some popcorn from the kitchen! I think the junior warriors are using the recreation room tonight, so, your room or mine?" "Yours! That way if you fall asleep during the movie you can just stay there!" She laughed at me. I would say she was being rude to me, but she knew me too well!
