MAIA Cian and I walked hand in hand toward my parents. He straightened his posture as we got closer, waves of nervousness radiating from him and I thought it was cute that my parents made him anxious. When they saw us coming, they turned to face us, and Cian gave them a heartfelt thank you for coming. “There will be a reception, a wake,” he added, inviting them to join us.
