DARREN I glared at Ruby’s mother from my place on her sofa. “For the last time, I am not leaving,” I repeated, for what felt like the thousandth time. Sherie lifted her hand and I growled in my throat. “Don’t even think about it.” If she dared to transport me home again, I would only return. She looked me in the eye then nodded and went back to reading the book that Ruby had been casting a spell from when she passed out.
