A queen was stripped of her title at a young age. So young she didn't even know she had such a title. A lord as evil as the darkest night, that believes he has the right to be king. And a kingdom that is in danger of existing no more. Children hear this story from the parents as nothing more than a tall tale. But this tale is much more alive than you and me. Magic once filled the land, but now all that speak on this are the temples and magic shops that no longer open their doors. There are those who believe that soon enough the rightful heir to the throne will appear and only they will be able to restore magic to the kingdom once again.
"Papa you tell me this story all the time, I'm not a little kid anymore I don't believe any of it"
" Not believing in something that can be seen all around is quite a stupid child"
" All that you see is empty shops and temples that are used by the homeless"
It was true no one used or talked about magic, it was something that Mia had always known. But on an off day, it was almost like she could feel a different life. Like she lived when the world was a different place. Mia knew that was impossible but still she would wonder as her father rambled on about magic and queen that not many believed existed. It was a way for parents to help their children sleep, and to escape the dark world they live in. Mia, just like many others was poor and wished for a better life than the one the King gave them. No one knew much about their King. Only the rumors that he was vicious and that he had more women in his bedchamber then he could count. But they were only rumors, Mia just like any girl, wished to walk the halls of the palace and wear beautiful ball gowns and find her prince charming. But she was no one, nothing, she could never make her way to the chamber of secrets that was the Kings chamber.
