She could sense Elijah getting ready to fight.
"Stand down." At a loss he looked at her, searching for an explanation.
They were completely surrounded. Auryon had no doubt that she and Elijah could take them. However, the situation was messy enough. She didn't want innocent blood on their hands.
Hunters could communicate telepathically. They could also transfer emotions and memories through touch. It came in handy, especially when on a hunt. Saying the order out loud was more for the benefit of the soldiers than anything else.
"We are Hunters, we mean you no harm." Auryon slowly and methodically takes out the councils crest from her pocket to back up her claim.
"I'll be the judge of that Huntress." There was a man leaning up against the tree across from her. Where did he come from? Her eyes met Elijahs, he looks just as dumbfounded. Did he not sense him either?
Snapping herself out of her thoughts, she clears her throat. "Listen, we don't have time for this. There's a rogue who's running, if we don't move now we will lose him."
Reaching for something behind the tree, the man throws a very unconscious Cocidius at her feet. Smiling, he starts walking towards them. "You mean this rogue? I think it's safe to say that time is no longer of the essence. Don't you agree?"
Now standing in front of them he looks directly at her. His tone more threatening. "You three will be coming with me." Elijah steps forward, fists clenched at his sides. "Hate to break it to you leech, but that's never gonna happen."
In an instant one of the soldiers stand in front of Elijah. "Watch your words Hunter, you are in the presence of King Crius. No one speaks to him that way and still gets to keep their vocal cords intact." King Crius puts his hand on the man's shoulder, which seems to calm him down.
"We will go." Auryon looked to Elijah, his eyes were wild with rage. King Crius was an original. Elijah didn't seem to care, he was on guard. In an attempt to make him understand she grabs his hand, pulling him towards her.
We are outnumbered, in an environment that we are unfamiliar with. Our best bet is to go along with this Original. Chances are high that even he wouldn't cross the council, risking war over two Hunters and a Rogue.
He says nothing. The emotions she feels from Elijah tell her he will comply but is still uneasy. Looking up she sees King Crius burning a hole through Elijahs hand. He looked displeased, no it must be her imagination.

I would love to hear from you.
